The school building was built for the Czech minority in the predominantly German-speaking border region, opened in 1926. It was in use until 2004 when the classes were merged with the main school of the town and has been abandoned since then.

We entered the building by a complicated manoeuvre through a toilet window on the ground floor measuring about 50x50. Of course, if we'd gone 10 metres further, we'd have found the door wide open.

The ground floor of the building was properly moldy after twenty years due to the humid mountain weather.

The exception was the gymnasium, which was used by the local youth for... I don't know what indigenous rituals, but they involved consuming large amounts of alcohol and painting pictograms depicting genitalia on the walls. Fortunately, one corner wasn't so devastated and was worth a photo.

Most of the classrooms had been cleared out and there was nothing left but blackboards. Probably because it had no use for the people of the town.

Main stairwell. I have to say that the building must have looked quite grand before. Especially in the 1920s when this part of the village must have been just timbered cottages.

A classroom on the top floor, where apparently someone has carried the remaining desks from the whole building to create the impression of a furnished room. I remember this furniture from elementary school. Yes, I sat down in a chair and swung on one leg. On purpose.

There was still some furniture piled up in the attic. The hatches were open - probably blown away by the wind - and it could be seen that the attic frequently leaked. So the future of the building will depend on whether it gets a new owner before the weather eats it away.
