The Meaning of the Age of Aquarius

First of all, the beginning of the New Age means that our solar system has become immersed in the celestial region of the Aquarius Constellation and, consequently, in an area flooded with the radiant energy from the central sun of the galaxy Due to the respective positions of other constellations in relation to the constellation of Aquarius, the radiant energy of this central sun affects us with far greater intensity than in any other past or future era. This is also why one refers to this era as the Golden Age, a most appropriate designation.

The Age of Aquarius actually went into effect on February 3, 1844, after we had entered the periphery of the central sun's golden rays. Consequently, we are now in a critical phase of the transition period. On one hand, we are still feeling the impact of the vibrations from the preceding Age of Pisces, which is coming to an end, and on the other hand, the rays of the present Age of Aquarius have started to reach us and are gaining in intensity. What has taken place over the past 185 years can be compared, on a somewhat smaller scale, to the change of seasons from winter to spring which also takes place gradually and not overnight. The expired Age of Pisces was primarily characterized by murder, assault, raw brutality, religious fanaticism, insane beliefs, magic, mysticism, the rise of many different cults and other negative aspects of the worst kind.

Pisces is at home in water, whereas Aquarius is at home in the air. It is as if a flying fish had sprung out of the water and transformed into a bird in flight. This metamorphosis will last a total of 185 years. Struck with blindness, mankind is slowly emerging from the depths of a dark cavern and is increasingly absorbing the light of new knowledge. This transition period can best be characterized by the word upheaval. Former ways of life that had become habitual are now outmoded and in need of change and must be torn down, whatever the price may be and without heeding the losses involved.

At the same time, however, the foundation for the construction of a new house is being laid. As a result of the unfavorable con- sequences of the Age of Pisces, the various changes are unable to take their course without complications that include terrible wars and revolution, terror, fanaticism, power-hungry politicians, hatred, discontent, as well as deception and fraud. The terrible mortgage of the past is now due and payable.

Furthermore, troubled minds have been imagining the very worst for quite some time and have been talking about the total destruction of the world, or something similar. The illusion that all of mankind is doomed to destruction and that life will disappear from the face of the earth will definitely not come to pass. Nevertheless, as everyone knows, the situation is highly critical in many respects. In view of this, I would like to quote a small excerpt from a series of articles titled Facts Worth Knowing.

Such topics include over-population, military activities and the weapons industry, where we find the entire world contaminated by all sorts of toxic substances and radioactivity. The booklet also examines criminality, power politics, drug addiction, misleading religions, world-wide mismanagement at all levels, financial exploitation, misuse of chemicals and toxins, terrorism, racism slave trade, prostitution, anarchy, invocation of the dead, spirits and demons; wars and revolt. These things will be accompanied by natural catastrophes in the form of earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, continued destruction of forests, climatic changes, the hole in the ozone layer, nuclear danger, the AIDS epidemic, sexual degeneration and other similar things. These are all signs of the transition period that we are now experiencing.

Undreamed of progress has also undoubtedly been made in all realms of life, especially in the fields of science and technology. In recent decades, an unprecedented number of inventions and discoveries have been made. Unfortunately, spiritual development has by no means been able to keep pace. Consequently, an unbridgeable gap has developed between the enormous scientific and technological progress and the development of ethics and social sciences. At the present stage of our development, we are simply not mature enough to handle the progress made in the natural sciences and technology. This will remain the case for as long as we continue to misuse all new inventions for negative and military purposes and as long as all the fundamental laws of nature are sacrificed for material profits. This discrepancy must be rectified because it hovers over the heads of mankind like the sword of Damocles.

The Age of Aquarius is also frequently referred to as the last days. This is true only to the extent that traditional and outdated aspects of life will disappear, a prediction that will indeed come to pass. This is by no means the final end but, rather, a new beginning that will not reach its full impact until the year 2029.

The high frequency and spiritually-energetic vibration of the central sun are now flooding our earth and giving rise to an epoch of spiritual breakthroughs that will largely evolve into positive manifestations. The radiant energy during the Age of Aquarius will activate the evolution of the planet and its inhabitants over an extended period of time to such an extent that no one will be able to escape its influence.
