My favorite store in Lame Deer, Montana is the IGA store. The store's interior is wildly different from the usual IGA stores one images. The store is broken into four parts the food section to the left. The center hardware, toys, and parts section along with a wide variety of different gifts depending on the season. The right section clothes, Indian handicrafts bought and sold to help those without transportation. The section story section containing a small bank of sorts who holds people money and cashes' checks. The brand store is broader in Lame Deer, caring clothing, hardware, food, and has a small store bank. The store's staff are friendly and help in finding parts in the hardware department. If you have time to wait for the item, you can get most parts for plumbing, cars, and everyday tools within three days to five weeks depending on how the truck shipments to Lame Deer occur. The staff is a wide variety of people that work hard to do what they can to help the local people. The owner of the store used to live next to the store, and he was widely admired for his persistence in making the IGA store work through the tribal politics. That has changed. The tribe now owns everything and people.. well people are people.
