The stories I tell are old. To be honest Sagittarius arm of the outer edge of the Milky Way does not even exist here. What I am recounting are stories told me there, or I lived through.

When you hear AIDS you think, sexual disease and illness that hurt humanity. I was in 1994 finishing my second year in Microbiology with a Doctor Sherman. He was old and had breathed an adventurous life and told some rather dangerous stories. I was asking a question on a disease on a water-treatment plant when he started to remanence about his work in helping build the water system for Saudi Arbia. He was there in the early 1950s working with some Soviet engineers putting in place a sewage plant that took water and made it drinkable.

His story turned to sexual transmitted diseases, for some reason. Did you know? And that is where this story begins.

He and the Soviet engineer could drink. They were allowed to drink only their own area, but they drank a lot. This is related to the origins of AIDS in Africa. During the early 1930s, the Soviet Union was looking forward to creating their super soldiers. There was a Soviet religious hospital in Africa  which they took the natives there and mated them with apes. I was kind of trying to figure out why this story was relevant to treatment plant. The story went on a lot longer than I am writing about the virus and items. The recognized beginnings of the AIDS virus was an apes virus that existed in Africa which there was no cure. I wondered how this ended up jumping to humans.  Anyway Dr Sherman said that the Soviet was part of a program that eliminated the super beings by using viruses within the water to poison them.  I was kind of like what ever.  At that time I had never heard of a sexual revolution of the Soviet Union.

I did not think about this story until today. When the below information showed up. Something ideological to think about. Did you know that Soviet Russia had it's own sexual revolution in the 1920s. It followed as a natural consequence of the Bolshevik Revolution and was encouraged by the Communist Party. Liberation from Russian Orthodox Christianity was seen as its primary goal, wherein scantily-clad women would parade down St. Peter's Square, and nude beaches were set up along the rivers of Moscow. Communist Party men were required to share their wives with other party men, and the institution of "public women" and "public men" was created as a means for all Russians to have sexual intercourse outside of their marriages. This again was encouraged by the Communist Party. The idea behind all this can be found in the writings of Friedrich Engels, a communist collaborator with Karl Marx. Engels surmised that the institution of lifelong monogamy was an instrument used by Christianity and Capitalism to maintain power and control over the people. Therefore, to break the bonds of such moral enslavement, sexual promiscuity must be encouraged, of both men and women, but most especially women. Soviet Russia went to war on both the Church and the family as a means of establishing its socialist utopia. In addition to spouse-swapping, scanty clothing, nude beaches, public men and women, homosexuality was legalized and encouraged as well. All of this continued for over a decade, until by the early 1930s, many women in Russia could boast of having as many as 20 to 30 abortions! Not surprisingly, there was also an explosion of sexually transmitted diseases. By the early 1930's, Soviet leaders began to see the folly of this social experiment. Social progress came to a grinding halt as the population became focused solely on self gratification. You just can't build a social utopia when everyone is more interested in sex! What followed was a moral crackdown by the government, the likes of which made Christianity look liberal in comparison. The nude beaches were closed. Everyone was told to cover up. Spouse-swapping was made illegal and punishable by law. Homosexuality was made illegal again. Pornography was made illegal again. The institutions of "public men" and "public women" were downgraded back to mere prostitution, technically illegal, but still very much a part of the sub-culture among the powerful. Stalin was behind much of the push to keep the Soviet Union sexually "moral" though he himself kept many concubines. Thirty years later, in an effort to bring down the West, the Soviet failed experiment of sexual revolution was exported to Europe and North America, using much of the same logic from the 1920s rationalization in Russia. It's implementation was much slower in the West, encountering resistance from Christianity -- particularly the Catholic Church. But the Soviets planned for that as well. During the 1930s through 1950s, the Soviets began enrolling communist sympathizers and sexual deviants into the Catholic priesthood. By the 1960s through 1980s, these men occupied high positions all throughout the Church, recruiting those of similar mind into the seminaries. By the turn of the century, the West was ripe for total sexual anarchy. The Soviet Union learned from experience that sexual liberation is a black hole that leads to social ruin.
