DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz made admitted during today's Congressional Testimony that former FBI Director James Comey is under a separate and ongoing investigation over mishandling of classified information.
Grassley: “Comey said he did not expect a report on his handling of classified information because, “That’s frivolous.” I don’t happen to think that it is frivolous. Question number one, Mr. Horowitz, are you investigating the handling of his memo and does that include the classification issues, and should Mr. Comey expect a report when it’s complete?”
Horowitz: “We received a referral on that from the FBI,” We are handling that referral and we will issue a report when the matter is complete, consistent with the law and rules that are–a report that’s consistent and takes those into account.”
Grassley demanded in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray that the agency provide information regarding revelations from last week's Inspector General report that former FBI Director James Comey used personal email accounts to conduct official business.
The letter asks four questions of the DOJ, requesting a response by next Friday, June 29:
Has the FBI requested that former Director Comey provide any official work-related material from his personal devices and email accounts or access to those accounts? If not, why not? If so, did he cooperate?
Has the FBI conducted or attempted to conduct searches of non-FBI-issued communications devices or non-FBI email accounts associated with former Director Comey for official work-related material? If not, why not?
Do you agree with former Director Comey that the question of whether he transmitted classified information on unclassified systems is “frivolous”?
Has the FBI taken any steps to secure, retrieve, or clean any classified information transmitted by former Director Comey off of any unclassified computer systems? If so, please explain in detail what steps were taken and when. a. If the answer is yes, then please describe how that answer is consistent with the FBI’s claim that there was no “indication” that classified information “ever” transited Director Comey’s personal email.

Gonen Segev has been arrested on charges of spying for Iran, allegedly giving classified information on the locations of security centers and the country's energy industry.
Gonen Segev served as Israeli Minister of Energy and Infrastructure at the end of Yitzhak Rabin's government, who was assassinated, and at the start Shimon Peres' term as prime minister, and is known for having cast a key vote for the Oslo Accords in Israeli parliament.
Shin Bet issued an official statement, indicating “Segev gave his operators information about [Israel’s] energy sector, about security locations in Israel, and about buildings and officials in diplomatic and security bodies, and more.”
Most of the case information has been marked "confidential at the request of the state" according to a statement by Segev's attorneys. Israel's English language Arutz Sheva national news reports the following details of the case:
An investigation by the Shin Bet and the police found that Segev was recruited and acted as an agent on behalf of Iranian intelligence, and that in 2012 a connection was established between Segev and elements of the Iranian embassy in Nigeria. He later came twice to meetings with his operators in Iran.
The investigation revealed that Segev met with his Iranian operators around the world, in hotels and apartments which are believed to be used for secret Iranian activity. Segev also received a secret communications system to encrypt the messages between him and his operators.
The investigation also revealed that Segev gave his operators information related to the energy market, security sites in Israel, buildings and officials in Israeli political and security bodies, and more.
Segev is alleged to have tried to serve as a mediator between his Iranian handlers and Israeli citizens working in sensitive posts related to Israel's security and foreign relations. According to Israeli media reports, Iranian foreign agents would be presented as "business contacts" when being presented to Israeli citizens abroad.
The Jerusalem District Court has issued a gag order on other details at the request of the General Security Service and the Israel Police, due to issues of intelligence and national security.

Do the people of Chicago love Obama so much they are willing to pay a special property tax so they can build his presidential library?

The taxpayer bill for the Obama Center to be built on Chicago’s Southside appears to be $224 million, not $172 million as initially reported, and it’s not privately funded as initially promised.
And how many know they may be subject to a special property tax, in addition to their current property taxes, for the center?
The $224 million details are described in a Washington Examiner article published yesterday. Funding was stuck into the new Illinois budget which was over 900 pages and presented to the General Assembly only hours before being voted on.
Oldest politician trick in the world. When that happens others should stand up and say I don't think so. I need at least a couple of weeks to read this. No one did that. They passed it. LOL Who can read 900 pages in a few hours right? It’s only now being read closely.
Former President Obama could turn down public funding and raise the money himself. But nah! Public anger is rising.
The public was bamboozled. To understand you can see it is nicely laid out in a federal lawsuit filed last month by Protect Our Parks, a not-for-profit.
That lawsuit is focused on how the transfer of parkland for the center to the Obama Foundation trampled state law. The case looks strong and linked here for your reading pleasure.
Jackson Park is among the finest parks in Chicago and beautiful by any city’s standards. Some of it is being taken for the center with no compensation.
To get the parkland transfer properly authorized, Springfield amended the state’s Museum Act to cover the center. That’s how authorization for additional property taxes resulted because the Museum Act provides for that. See paragraph 119 of the complaint linked above.
That tax money forms the basis of a First Amendment claim, which is also in the complaint. The First Amendment not only protects free speech, but has also frequently been used to strike down “compelled speech.” Using taxpayer money for political purposes can be challenged as compelled speech.
Why would the Obama Center be compelled speech? That’s where the “bait and switch” happened, which is the phrase used in the lawsuit. LOL A presidential library became Obamaland.
The center was originally pitched as a presidential library to be privately funded.
The center will not be a presidential library because Obama’s archives and documents won’t be there and it won’t be federally run.
Protect Our Parks’ lawsuit was filed before the budget was published and the state money became known. I am sure the complaint will be amended to describe the state funding, which bolsters the First Amendment claim.
Taxpayers shouldn’t be funding an Obama political operation. $224 million is a lot of many that Illinois desperately needs. Obama could easily raise it from his friends. I am sure Robert De Niro and his pals would be glad to cover it and get their names somewhere on it.

He stated the obvious and it didn't have a thing to do with Merkel. It isn't an attack. It just is. LOL Bless their hearts!
Moments after Angela Merkel received a 2 week ultimatum to resolve Germany's contentious refugee issue, President Trump in a tweet stated that "the people of Germany are turning against their leadership as migration is rocking the already tenuous Berlin coalition. Crime in Germany is way up. Big mistake made all over Europe in allowing millions of people in who have so strongly and violently changed their culture!"
Just an obvious conclusion to the current situation in Germany and the EU.

Nothing has changed. Target 3200 remains. It's all good. That wall of worry is steep! LOL Change is always a bit scary for most and the ones that had been in charge are truly scared because of the uncertainty. That causes them fear and they start to look for anything and everything that could confirm their fear.
Then they plan for it. Prepare. Then they think ah there it is! The definitive nail in the coffin. Here comes the market crash. LOL Yes, they are imagining a market crash and they will bring a market crash but not until they forget about. That's why when everyone throws in the towel and says it is going up forever and we have hit a new paradigm is when the market crashes.
Trump, in and of himself, is a lot of their fear and top it off with all the uncertainty of the change from being told by the state what to think, to thinking for oneself and well 3200 is the first target. The other big fear is moving away from a war economy to one that stands on it's own two legs. That has a way to go too.
It's not rocket science. It is the Law of Mind. It applies to markets, and it applies to everything. Imagine what you desire, feel it, forget about it, it's yours.
