The Tesla Model S belonging to the husband of actress Mary McCormack spontaneously combusted in Los Angeles. In a late Friday tweet, the West Wing actress said that flames burst out of the undercarriage while her husband was driving the car on Santa Monica boulevard in Los Angeles.
"No accident, out of the blue, in traffic on Santa Monica Blvd. Thank you to the kind couple who flagged him down and told him to pull over. And thank god my three little girls weren’t in the car with him"
I do wish him the best but the days of electric cars, along with autonomous cars, is ending. Fisker Automotive who Elon screwed has put in a patent for a graphite battery that would effectively end lithium batteries.
Lithium of course has a good and bad side and the bad side is it burns hot and blows up. LOL
It's just lithium and works perfectly. Only those who place good or bad upon it get the good or bad whichever they prefer.
Elon on the other hand is fighting monsters and they are his monsters and I wish him the best. Bless his heart.

Does the US actually have any allies? What have we, as a country, been thinking?
Let's take a look.
NATO How does having a mutual defense pact with virulently anti-Russian Poland and the Baltic States make America more secure? It is the military that is virulently anti-Russian. The people have been demanding better relations with Russia for over 30 years.
How does Montenegro, contribute to US security? Are these countries going to defend America in any conceivable way? Even if they wanted to, how could they?
What ‘threat’ would they defend for us? Is Latvia going to help build Trump’s Wall on the Mexican border? LOL Yeah I don't think so.
‘Our NATO allies help out in Afghanistan,’ we are told. LOL yeah right and I have a bridge for sale going cheap. Americans do almost all the fighting and dying. It’s our treasure being wasted. What are we still are doing there after 17 years?
‘Russia!’ they say. Russia isn’t a threat to the United States. Despite their hype even the most antagonistic Russophobic countries in NATO themselves don’t really believe they’re about to be invaded. And even if they were, that still doesn’t make Russia a threat to us. We are the ones threatening Russia with a NATO presence on Russia’s borders and in the Black and Baltic seas. How does risking conflict with the one country on the planet whose strategic arsenal can annihilate us make Americans safer?
As Professor Richard Sakwa observed, ‘NATO exists to manage the risks created by its existence.’
Why do we need South Korea and Japan? ‘China!’ Except for a nuclear stockpile much smaller than our intercontinental deterrent China doesn’t present a military threat to us. ‘Yes, but Beijing poses a danger to South Korea and Japan.’
Maybe, maybe not. But even if that is so why is it our problem?
Why do we need Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and bunch of other Middle Eastern countries? We aren’t dependent on energy from the region. ‘Well then, Iran!’ But the Iranians can’t do anything to us. ‘Yes, but they hate Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc., etc.’ And again, what’s that got to do with us?
The US doesn't need allies for the purpose of defense against purported threats to the US.
Bless their hearts but it is not the US's problem to fight and die for the fears of Europe and the 'free' world. They are the ones scaring themselves so they can go fight their monsters all by themselves. We aren't helping anyone much less ourselves by fighting with those we should be trading with.
The military and the establishment don't get it . Those are their monsters not the people's monsters. The people love all and want to trade with all and have a win win for all. No one likes being judged and maligned and no one wants to do that anymore. We are not victims, we are not bullies. We are people, just people doing the best we can. So is everyone.
Trump is doing what he said he would: putting America and Americans first. As he has said, that does not mean hostility towards other countries, whose leaders have a duty to put their countries and peoples first as well. It means both stopping our allies’ sandbagging us, while restoring to them their unsought for sovereignty and independence.
It means win win for all.
Bless their hearts! Smearing peace talks in order to gain partisan political points, but that has indeed been their theme of the last few days when it comes to the Singapore summit.
Senate Democrats have introduced a bill to make it more difficult for Trump to withdraw US troops from South Korea, because for them it is ok to make it easy for a president to deploy military personnel around the globe but giving that same office the power to bring troops home is a completely different matter.

Whether you're discussing the possibility of an individual maintaining sobriety, the possibility of two nations putting aside generations old hostilities and moving into a new relationship, or the possibility of our species pulling out of its trajectory toward extinction and turning its intellectual and creative powers toward creating a collaborative relationship with one another and with the environment, well you are talking about humans breaking old patterns.

One of four FBI agents investigating Hillary Clinton's email server - not Peter Strzok or Lisa Page, referred to Clinton as "the President" in a text exchange with another FBI employee four days after interviewing the Democratic candidate, according to Thursday's DOJ Inspector General report. All four FBI case agents working the Hillary Clinton email investigation - the other two being Peter Strzok and Lisa Page - were Clinton supporters, and at least three harbored animus towards Trump.
According to the DOJ, after investigating itself, there was no evidence that any of the overt and well documented bias harbored by agents crept into the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Thursday's DOJ Inspector General report covering the Obama DOJ/FBI conduct during the Hillary Clinton email investigation confirms Obama lied when he said in 2015 that he learned of Hillary Clinton's private email server through a New York Times report.
A footnote on page 89 reads "President Barack Obama was one of the 13 individuals with whom Clinton had direct contact using her clintonemail.com account".
FBI agent Peter Strzok told the Inspector General that the top brass of the agency wrestled over whether or not to include Obama's involvement in Clinton's exoneration statement and that former FBI Director James Comey knew Obama had lied:
“A paragraph [in Comey’s "exoneration" statement] summarizing the factors that led the FBI to assess that it was possible that hostile actors accessed Clinton’s server was added, and at one point referenced Clinton’s use of her private email for an exchange with then President Obama while in the territory of a foreign adversary,” the IG report reads. “This reference later was changed to ‘another senior government official,’ and ultimately was omitted.”

A poll was taken of liberals where 71% do not want the North Korea deal to suceed because Trump would get credit for it. Never mind that it makes the world a safer, better place. LOL
Their fears are coming to fruition. Watch what you ask for because you will get it. Seriously. This is a good lesson for all. If you go around imagining the worst, believing in the worst and worrying about the worst, you will get it.

President Obama is "secretly" meeting with top Democratic contenders for the 2020 election. The Hill notes that Democrats faced with Clinton fatigue are freaking out. There's nobody around to save the party ahead of midterms and the 2020 election.
“There’s f---ing no one else,” one frustrated Democratic strategist said. “Bill Clinton is toxic, [former President] Carter is too old, and there’s no one else around for miles.” -The Hill

A plan to split California into multiple states is moving forward. This week, the campaign's backers managed to get their "radical" vision, which would divide California into three independent states, placed on the Nov. 6 ballot, according to the Los Angeles Times. Clearing this hurdle means the measure is posing the biggest threat to California's unity in its 168-year history.
The initiative made it to the ballot because organizers managed to collect more than 400,000 valid signatures, enough to qualify the measure for the ballot.
If ultimately successful, the partition of California would be the first breakup of a US state since the depths of the Civil War in 1863, when West Virginia was separated from Virginia.
