To date, the drones have entered our life and are nothing supernatural. They can be bought at any electronics store. The purposes of their use are different for everyone: somebody shoots beautiful landscapes from a bird's-eye view; someone just uses it for entertainment. While no use of these aircraft for commercial purposes is observed. But what if I tell you that there was a start-up that took on a goal to create a drone that would not be used simply as a toy.

In the 21st century there is a tendency to reduce costs. Of course, everyone wants to earn a lot with small expenses. One of the very important sectors of the economy, and any company is logistics. It carries a lot of waste, but without it - in any way. The Russian project under the name SKYFchain offers its own variant of logistics optimization. The team set a goal to create a drone for large-scale logistics. The whole system will be based on the technology of blockchain.

Features

According to the team, their drone will be able to cut logistics costs by 50%. According to the developers, this is the first automated logistics platform in the world, which uses drones + built on blockchain technology. There is already a company called SKYF, which produces these drones. The system will be tested on these very drones, and after solving a number of problems (one of which is the problem of automatic collection and systematization of information on the details of the flight of drones), all drones will be integrated into this system.

The system will work through the use of smart contracts. It will be a platform that will unite all the participants of unmanned logistics, that is, it will be a kind of market in which everyone who is somehow connected with unmanned logistics will be directly located.

The problems that this platform solves are many. We are all at risk, and drones are no exception. It often happens that the drone suddenly crashes and it is not clear, by whose fault it happened. Maybe it was a marriage (then the producer is to blame), or a mistake in management (the pilot is guilty). But the fact of this is very difficult to establish. But what if all the information on the flight of this drone will be available to the persons who are administering justice in this case? In fact, the system solves many problems. Clients, logistics, insurance, leasing companies will be able to monitor unmanned assets.

The use of smart contracts will secure participants in the system from stealing their data, and will make them completely anonymous on the global network.

The drone itself is an apparatus with a hybrid gasoline engine, a carrying capacity of 400 kg and a flight range of 350 km. The competitive advantage of this drone is the fact that it can be used not only in logistics. It is excellent for use in agriculture.

The developers compared the use of drones and helicopters in logistics. So, the cost of an hour of helicopter flight costs an average of $ 1,200, while the drone is able to fly the same time and perform the same function for only $ 150 - the difference on the face.
