Hymn of the Pioneers

Six hundred thousand souls asleep in our pods,
we're cast into space from the Kingdom of God.
Two hundred fifty million miles abroad,
we rise from our slumber, shiv'ring as we thawed.

Behold our new home, a wind-swept desert land.
We land on the pad and trek through rust-red sand.
To Tharsis and Olympus, go underground.
To Huoxing and Pavonis, head southward bound.
Machines work the surface, and we write the code.
A long day's crunch, and they pay us what we're owed.
We take the train home, and we don our VR,
which takes us far away, and we gaze afar
at tender green fields and a gentle blue sky.
The scene never fails to bring tears to our eyes.

We vow to return to the Kingdom of God
with hearts of steel and kinetic tungsten rods.
Orbiting around the Garden of Eden,
we'll deliver death to those Godless heathens.
