Dear reader,

I would like to encourage you to come with me on a journey. The journey especially hard these days, as we would travel to and explore our insides.

When people talk about so called "spirituality", they often imagine some kind of buddhist monks chanting mantras all day long. As we live in a western civilization I believe we should know about the tradition on which our culture was based on. The biggest difference between christian hermit and monastic tradition and the Far East is the destination of a journey. While buddhists and other "meditating" groups are directed towards escaping thoughts, resulting in dehumanized experience of chasing the void, Christians were always aiming for the completeness.

We would like to know God as much as we can, live with him in the greatest possible contact. On this blog I will present the traditional desert fathers and Carmelite doctors teaching and my own thoughts about the spiritual development.

st. Paul the first hermit

The modern world tries to destructively implement a thought in you that "you are what you possess". This false claim would never assure you of safety and confidence. It only puts you in a infite series of desires: more money, more sex, more interaction, more likes, more emotions... All of this is based on a delusion that someday we would manage to reach the ideal place where nobody and nothing could hurt us.

Christian hermits who escaped from the world to the Thebian desert during the first centuries of Christianity knew that not only them but also the church was being eaten by this delusions. They often fought this emotional barrier in order to unite with God on a greater level.

As long as they searched for their identity, they were kept in the infinite series of desires. In the godly solitude they found inner peace as they understood themselves, they were not longer perceiving themselves aggregating other people's opinions but started to look at themselves with the eyes of God.

In the delusional world I offer you a path without delusion. Although the path is very demanding, the prize is way greater that you can imagine. The key is to fight with ourselves, beating the weakness that this weak world sowed in us without asking. We must become the strong generation, people of healthy spirit, willing to fight for the most important values both spiritually and physically. The new era of Christian warriors.
