The undefeated kings of vans is the Ford Transit Custom and the second best supermini of all time is the 2009- Ford Fiesta. Combine them both add spice and everything nice you get the Ford Fiesta van.
The Fiesta van trades the rear seats to create a loading space of one cubic metre. It also features altered rear suspension to carry up to 500kg of cargo (less than 160kg than the Ford Transit Courier).
In particular, the Fiesta van fuses the practicalness of the Transit with ST-Line aspects that include: 18-inch rims, the rear wing borrowed from the standard ST-Line. Whilst, the interior has two sports seats.
The Fiesta van range has three options of powertrains. Two are petrol, with the first engine having an N/A 1.1litre delivering 84bhp and the second a turbocharged 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine with 123bhp at hand. Meanwhile, the third powertrain is a 1.5-litre TDCi unit available in two power outputs: 84bhp and 118bhp.
At the moment the Ford hasn't said how much the Fiesta van's price but, I expect the cost of the Fiesta Van will cost £12,000 upwards with the range-topping Fiesta ST-Line priced at £14,500.
The Ford Transit has always been king of vans mainly due to its handling. The Metropolitan Police reported on this vehicle in 1972 via a Scotland Yard spokesman that 'Ford Transits are used in 95 percent of bank raids. With the performance of a car and space for 1.75 tonnes of loot, the Transit is proving to be the perfect getaway vehicle...', describing it as 'Britain's most wanted van'.
The Fiesta is my favourite Ford and the second best supermini in my opinion due to its overall bubbly character. The Vauxhall Corsa maybe a cheaper car but it feels as if its a sheet of metal.
Why I like the Fiesta van would be my ideal van is due to its bubbly character secondly, it's driving dynamics and finally, I'm a Ford fanatic.
If Ford makes a Fiesta ST van I'd be over the moon with having 200bhp at bay from a tiny van.Though it seems a waste of time filling up more they'd be a novel market for it. A private buyer who is a drive this machine in the day as a work vehicle and a track day/road eater in their spare time.
What are your thoughts on the 2018 Fiesta Van range? Would you get the Corsa van or are you a Ford fanatic? Please tell me in the comments below and On That Bombshell Goodnight!!
