Sherry went on a world trip and when she got back, she gave me a box of Koala's March Mango Only in Thailand. I had no idea what this was. Join me in my adventure of discovery.

Koala's March Mango Only in Thailand 7 Pack front cover

There are clues on this cover as to what was inside. I did not catch them. The photo of the plate of sliced mango threw me. I expected maybe dried fruit?

OK they're clearly trying to provide us with some context here, in a way that reminds me of the stuff NASA left for space aliens to find. Looks like Koala's March Mango is the official Koala's March Mango of the lands between Bangkok and Phuket.

More clues

So what's really inside are these packets.

The tension mounts as everyone wants to know what is inside!!!

Koala's March Edible Pillows

So what is inside are these things. Little baked pillows with cartoon characters PRINTED on them. It looks like the newsprint of food. As soon as one of these packets opens, the unmistakable smell of children's aspirin fills the room. So these are mango flavored cookies maybe? Filled with chocolate? Because now I notice the full title is Koala's March Mango CHOCOLATE.

Let's crack one open and look inside!

Operation successful

WTF? They're hollow inside-- little hollow pillows. And they have a tiny little bit of what looks like white chocolate squirted into the air-filled center. What do they taste like? Tiny air-filled cookie pillows with a slight bit of chocolate inside. Where is the mango? I think the mango is mainly in the children's aspirin smell? I'm not sure.

So I'm joking around, but I ate them all already, then I looked online to see how much it would cost to get more. It turns out this 7 pack is not sold in America. I can get one imported for $25 or $30! There are some kinds of Koala's March made for the American market, such as Choco-Banana and Green Tea, you can order them online. They have $3 and $6 sizes, I'm not clear on what you get in each case. But the Mango Chocolate Only in Thailand flavor seems to actually only be available in Thailand. That might explain why "Only in Thailand" is part of the name of the product.

Anyway, I don't plan on doing product reviews here, but I really wanted to share this item with any of you who, like me, never travel to China or Australia the way Sherry does. Thanks for the Koala's March, Sherry!
