A Breath of Fresh Air
"Draw near hither, ye sons of the adulterer and the whore. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked" ~ Isaiah . But harbingers like bubbles of oxygen are sweet reprieves to a war weary world once in a while . Harbingers of a thousand year period of peace on earth . I think we're entering into one of those times . Specifically Isaiah 19 . A gem of prophetic glory hidden under the cover of such mundane same old pained ol toil and trouble, it's no wonder I'm the first to discover the second half of the Chapter .
When the warship pulled into the Mediterranean I called it a harbinger of international peace because Syria's 15 minutes of fame is over . The hot spot is Iran now . Iran has an interest in keeping the Russian navy in the Mediterranean but I don't think their nuclear weapons program is enough to merit that . With Trump holding out economic assistance and nuclear disarmament there's more economic and military security in finding a polite way out of the Syrian quagmire that's suddenly not so deep anymore .
I suspect Iran orchestrated the chemical weapons attacks to bring the US and raise tensions between the US and Russia but Trump has been sweet talking Putin instead . On April 11 when all this was breaking out Trump Tweeted three times @ Russia . Some threats from the Russian Foreign minister were issued threatening to shoot down any and all missiles the US might fire to destroy chemical weapons installations . Trump told Russia to get them ready but followed with this tweet lamenting the bad vibe with Russia lately and his idea's for repairing the rift . Minutes later came this one taking a load of the blame for the bad blood due to America's nasty politics ..
This morning the missiles have hit their targets , it only took a few . Russian defenses failed to stop the American smart missile technology. The weapons test was part of the set up I'm sure . We had to prove the capability again because Russia was sporting upgraded missile defense systems. I think Putin really thought might be able to stop a US retaliation . Syrian News reports 12 US missiles were shot down but every target we needed to hit is smouldering in ruins right now . Test over I hope . It wasn't a very good sales demo for Iran .
I believe today is the day for Russia and the US to get together and discuss the way forward . Glorious news if it leads to a consideration of the reality on the ground . Why are we even in Syria still ? The Arab pipeline is off the table because of the Trans-Israel pipeline. Iran want's Russia there to protect it's nuclear missile infrastructure but the take home for Putin in that deal is dwarfed by the public offer of economic cooperation by Trump .
Leadership in Iran and Turkey are still refusing to give up on the hope of a rejuvinated Ottoman empire and fantasies and ego trips about Muslim domination of Israel and the world . Handwriting is on the wall for the Iranian regime . #GirlsOfRevolutionStreet giving them all they can handle on a domestic front and the guys are starting to wave hijabs in the streets now. Erdogan of Turkey acts pretty bad with Iran standing behind him but that moon is waning , Iran is next . Russia gone and the US pals with North Korea cuts them off from even the Muslim world. How do you like the way they are caught the bad Muslims when a true historical accounting still shows Persia at war with Islam. Pretty slick of Saudi Arabia no ? LOL. A shred of dignity remains for Persia .
It's not enough to save Islam. Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman seems to get me . Even the birthplace of Islam seems to have opted for western style modernization and human rights. The day when women will be driving cars around Mecca are coming up fast by his decree . He's not King but he's got the old mans ear. An old King that allowed hard line Islam to rule agrees deep down that Arabia would be better off with western tourism than the Haaj. Just over yonder from Saudi Arabia is the darling of Isaiah 19 that ends with a peaceful and prosperous middle east . What happens to Iran that allows for this amazing harbinger of peace on earth ? My read is the same thing that happens to Egypt and Syria.

The truth is so much more thrilling , glorious and mentally healthy that more of us would be praising The Lord if the good news were to spread and he likes the recognition . He likes it a lot.
