Many people supported Trump for election in 2016 because he was going to 'Make America Great Again'. He was going to get the U.S. out of costly foreign wars, and spend money on infrastructure and job creation.

The very recent missile strikes against Syria, predicated on accusations against Assad that have not been investigated or proven, are causing many in his support base to ask questions.

Questions like - Has Trump been compromized by the Globalists? Is Trump actually in charge of the military? Has Trump abandoned his base? Or, is this all just a performance to quell his deep state Globalist critics? Like throwing a bone to the war-mongering classes.

Trump ran on his nationalist MAGA platform, and was quite clear that he was against foreign wars. Now, it's deja vu, again.

I watched some commentators, normally pro-Trump, question his motives. I listened to call-in shows, where the majority of Trump supporters expressed their extreme disappointment at the latest attacks on Syria. Many were angry that Trump is not listening to the anti-war sentiments of most of his base.

If things escalate more and more in Syria, and Assad is toppled, and Syria becomes another basket case war zone, Trump will have a lot to answer for. And he will likely lose considerable support.

Many people hoped Trump would extract the USA from these disasterous wars. His base is against these moves in Syria.

Will he get the message?
