MediChain gives patients ownership of their own medical data. It is a medical big-data platform. It allows patients to store their own data in a secure way and give access to specialists anywhere regardless of the payer network or EMR (Electronic Medical Record) used.

Over 15 years of discussion with computer scientists a faculty at the department of medicine at Oxford University (particularly with Dr John Tiffany) about research data integrity and the use of unchangeable, digitally signed databases featuring many of the key features of blockchain) to secure patient data and to help develop cures.
2011
Privacy standards for personal data using cryptographic hashes one way functions and signatures (related to proposed blockchain structures in MediChain) discussed and concepts developed by Dr Baker for privacy project led by Dr Baker and implemented with 50 million users.
Q2 2015
Dr Baker approached by consortium from Edinburgh University and Three NHS trusts to be CEO in project for design and implementation of big data system for improvement of treatment and development of cures from patient big data for several million patients. Architecture is the direct precursor of MediChain.
Q1 2018
Public MVP- System live and scaled on Rackspace servers
Research- Scientist program, 10+ rolling grants to get high quality data
