Portfolio I
Distilling 35+ years of Photographs and Art into a 20-30 image portfolio is not as easy as you would think. Do I have a style? a theme? a purpose? The plan is to make my first few blogs posts into a Portfolio of 5 images and go into detail on each image.
There is a moving sidewalk outside of the Bally's Hotel and Casino surrounded by Neon lights. I choose this one out of the batch to show the movement possible with digital imagery.
I have Gigs of flower images, both shot on film and then digital. I am a fan of Balance and this image has balance and strong contrast.
A keeper from a model shoot from the days of film and darkrooms. My original path in photography was a master of the Darkroom and Cover Photographer. Along the way, I shot more than a few Models/Actresses who were looking to get into the Biz. The photos they choose for their uses were never the ones that appealed to me, this is more my 'style' if I were to have one.
I have quite a few sketchbooks, all artists do. This is from a page of about 100 pieces along this theme. the originals are 4 inches by 4 inches but with scanning technology, they can be reproduced to any size on a variety of substrate.
This is from a trip to Paris, the Eiffel Tower of course. Everybody has an Eiffel Tower photo or two. What makes this one so unique is that the actual images that make up the overall piece are from the grounds and the views around the Tower. Each Tile is approximately 5x7 inch postcard so this looks pretty cool printed 36 inch Poster size and bigger.
Next step is resizing and uploading to my new Pictorem Gallery. That's where you will be able to purchase prints and Pieces of mine. I'm going to start printing Tshirts by hand using paypal to ensure quality and payment, my Zazzle site is not performing or paying out the way I would like, so the best way to support is through direct sales and word of mouth.
