Shadowbanning, yet another form of censorship, is a well known way to deal with trolls online on multiple platforms. They speak, spam, and troll in a hole, and no one ever sees it, gets notified of it, nothing.
That happened to me today.
Not that I spammed or trolled, though. Just that I have dissenting opinions, that some would disagree with. I questioned the status quo. I retweeted Mr. Kim Dotcom (the U.S. government doesn't like him), and I retweeted Julian Assange (they don't like him either.).
To them, just doing things like that, makes me "hateful". Or "alt-right".
Heck, today I had my other Twitter account locked out. It said I was "exhibiting automated behaviour". I'm even a "Russian bot" now, i guess!
What I mean is, the moment you question things, you're labeled.
As an ex-jehovah's witness, when I questioned and left, I was labeled an "apostate". They shun you. They stop talking to you.
As a conservative, if I'd question the liberal side, they'd label me "hateful", or "alt-right", or a "neo-nazi".
They make it hard, or illegal, or hateful, or scandalous, or "against their terms and conditions" or "in violation of the Twitter rules" to question the way they think. That's how they work. You wouldn't want to be caught questioning, wouldn't you?! They might shadowban you for it! No one wants to see "your" opinion, of course! They're too caught up in their own!
As we know, western society wants change, but when change comes, we push it away. We're used to things being one way, and not changing. We're used to status quo, with no questioning allowed, we're used to things being the way they are and that nothing is supposed to change them.
You'd come up with a cure for cancer, it'd be stricken down real fast.
You'd invent a new language, you'd speak it alone.
You'd expose the secrets of the corrupt, they'd take you out.
You'd say the earth is round, you're a heretic for it (not anymore, but you get the idea).
You'd say you saw a UFO, you'd be called nuts for it.
I've always been a person to talk a lot about UFOs and aliens, and retweet those who want to make a change. I will always support the activist, the planet hero, the whistleblower, the censored, the silenced, the broken and the misunderstood.
============================================
What I wanted to say with all this is, Twitter is censoring people. Without telling anyone or admiting it. I'm usually not a political person, but this is a ploy. Remember Facebook being caught for manipulating people's opinions? This is the same thing. It's just that Twitter is doing it this time. People don't even realize it.
Next time anyone talks about a "Russian bot", QUESTION ABOUT IT. Don't just accept what they tell you. Don't assume it's true. Of all those accused of being "Russian bots", a lot of them turn out to be people who dissent against the system we live in and want change. They're not bots. They're humans. Remember that, next time you fill in a Captcha. There's a BOT asking you if YOU are human.
It could be someone like you or me, who wants to change the status quo and actually do something, and is just trying to retweet "Kim Dotcom" or "Julian Assange" or someone else with the same goal.
Welp, rant over. I had to let it out. I think I'll be here a bit more from now on, too. (I'm still on many other platforms of course, it's just Twitter giving me trouble. Facebook is already a thing of the past for me.)
