Minding Mondays: Europe, wake up!

I just heard that a Catalan Refugee has been caught and imprisoned not too far from where I live. Apparently, his country of origin considers him a dangerous politician because he pretended to update the borders that were defined some centuries ago—when democracy did not even exist…

What are borders really? Why are there still borders within Europe? Aren’t we all European? Aren’t we all Earthlings? Couldn’t we just start using Democracy and the Universal Human Rights to improve Europe and make it the land where World Peace began and imaginary borders where dissolved? Isn’t Europe the ideal place to start rehearsing new systems that would help us build our dreamed better World—nationalities apart? Shouldn’t we be upgrading our systems in the direction of serving every human on the Earth?

Isn’t it now the best opportunity we’ve ever had? So, enough of playing an absurd part in this World theater... Let’s look at all the European wisdom we’ve gathered since the Union started and continue walking forward towards Peace—and not backwards. Let’s all leave national wars and violence alone, we won’t need any of this in our better World. And let’s start focusing on what will really serve the whole of Humanity.
