Lately I have been researching Japanese Millennial Cultural Trends. Mainly in the categories of female "street" fashion; (as they call it) and the original 3-D nails. You have probably heard of or maybe even seen the American-tamed down version of 3-D nails. Which pale in comparison to Japanese 3-D nails. You see; Japan is the birthplace of 3-D Nail art, and rightfully so. As nobody does 3-D nails like Japanese girls, nobody!
Never in my life did I ever think you could say so many things with just your nail art. I found myself searching through my belongings to find any miniature heart, shell, and flower I could find. In hopes of super gluing them to my nails and pulling off a makeshift version of the masterpieces I had seen. I was officially hooked!
You name it and it's probably been miniaturized and worn on the delicate little finger of some stylish Japanese girl. These girls are walking around with entire Polly Pocket villages on there finger tips. When I say Polly Pocket I mean the OG Polly Pocket, not this giant morphed new generation of "Polly Pocket's".
Some of the pictures I have come across look like the nail decor has added an entire pound to each hand.
If you are a fellow fake nail addict and have not yet seen the OG Japanese 3-D Nail art, OMG trust me you are so missing out. A nail art world of endless possibilities awaits you. From girly and feminine to sexy and bodacious, if you can think it you can wear it! So go my little nail addict go, research and explore the awesomely, millennial, future of acrylic and gel nails alike; that is the real 3-D Japanese nail art.
