Serenity Sundays: not so serene

I was imagining my serenity Sundays as a weekly delivery of peace in a poem or poetic writing momentum. But not today... I started serenely reading several three minutes children stories in German to my four-year-old daughter Clara. She has an earache since three days ago and she requires lots of kindness and mom's attention whenever she feels the aching pinch within her little ear. We had a cozy moment on the sofa under some blankets. Then, Elies—my two years old—came to join us. He is a morning guy and always very smiley when he joyfully greets us with his "Bon dia!"—"Good morning!" in Catalan. We continued reading stories under the blankets, while nursing Elies.

Everything was happening very serenely until my husband—not a morning guy...—, who is also starting to feel some trouble in his bigger ears, woke up and joined the crew. I am not going to bring the details here but he ended up deciding that he would not discuss or object to anything I'd say again. So, he's just going to nod at me whenever I decide to add more changes to our lives that can help us all stay Healthy... Not too bad... But I still value his opinion...

He is a very smart scientist, he was born from two very smart scientists and sometimes I feel they want me to deliver a science research lecture every time I find something new. I have no time for more research. My next operation is in April and I want all my lymph nodes' cells to be cancer free. I trust Chris Wark and I am planning to buy a Water Filter, so I can continue with my genuine serene way of living.

Love to all—especially to my husband!
