In the year 2004 I received a $25,000 grant from the Screen Innovation Production Fund to make a short, six minute art film called Cogito. At its core was the concept of a post-modern interpretation of Descartes meditations.
Starring actor, Simon Clark in the lead role, and shot on Super 16mm Film, using a steadicam and with a full production crew, we set up out of the Auckland Screentime Production offices and filmed on location around Auckland city, New Zealand, and in the Screentime studio itself.
The film also included stock footage sequences and computer animation by Mr Jason Brown. Here is the result:
