How to Make Slime with Baking Powder

Making slime is a super fun and easy to do activity, that can be great for kids and older people alike! Slime is a great stress reliever, being a perfect stim toy or just a fun thing to use to pass some time. Although, it’s nearly impossible to buy and the prices of it are usually high... so the next best thing to do is make it! 

Here’s what you’ll need: 

1. Crafting Glue (Elmer’s is the most commonly used but, other crafting glues are fine) 

2. Shaving Cream (This makes your slime fluffy) 

3. Baking Powder or Baking Soda 

4. Contact Solution (This brings your slime together!) 

Optional: 

Glitter

Lotion 

Vaseline

Foam/Floam 

Here’s what you do: 

1. Pour some glue into a bowl (this determines how big your slime is) and add some shaving cream. Mix until it comes together. 

2. Add baking powder, slowly. Mix until the glue becomes thicker in texture. 

3. Pour contact solution into the mixture. It should start to look more like slime at this point. Add and mix until you get a slime texture and then begin to knead until it isn’t sticky anymore. 

4. Enjoy your slime!
