Welcome to the most rapid Lotus road car yet, the Lotus 3-Eleven 430!!

Lotus has unveiled it's most insane road car to date, the Lotus 3-Eleven 430. A lighter, faster and rarer version of the standard 3-Eleven.

Now lets have a look at the specs. 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, it weights 925kg, it delivers 424BHP, provides 325lb ft of torque, has a power-ratio of 461bhp per tonne and has a top speed of 180mph.

Thanks to the carbon fibre for the bodywork this shaved off 5kg off the regular car’s 925kg weight. At Lotus's test track in Hethal the Lotus 3-Eleven completed it in 1 minute and 24 seconds, two seconds quicker than the standard 3-Eleven.

There will only be 20 3-Eleven set to be built with a price tag of 102k, 18k more than the standard 3-Eleven.

My opinion

The Lotus 3-Eleven is a bombshell!! Now with Geely buying out Lotus they are going to dial down the craziness off the brand. Cars such as 3-Eleven and Elise/Exige won't have a future. Now Lotus is making an SUV.

If Lotus did make an SUV it would be popular in China, Middle East, England etc. On the other hand it will be heavy, look revolting and will ruin the ethos of Lotus. Here's a quote from Colin Chapman "Simplify, then add lightness".

At least we've got one more hurrah!! I need all the wins I can take and this is a huge win!! I like 3-Eleven 430 because it's an all out which reminds me of a modern take on Lotus F1 cars of the 60's and 70's just with a new body.

Even though I've driven the standard Lotus 3-Eleven which, was amazing to drive this car will be no different.

If you want these vehicles to keep been made support companies such as Ginetta, Ariel etc. Contact Geely politely saying be keep creating cars such as the Exige, Elise and 3-Eleven then, ask them not to make an SUV because their ruining Lotus's ethos and finally send this article to any members of Geely, create articles on why this car is amazing. That's all we can do.
