I Blame Both Sides

That is, both sides of the political spectrum. First, let's ignore the mainstream media -- their agenda is to make money. It doesn't matter if it is an advertiser, a Deep State payout or any other source. They no longer have any credibility.

For me that means I have to look for information sources with credibility. Yes, there are a few that I rely on but there are so many others that could be useful if they could report rather than add unnecessary BS. For example, I recently listened to a "right-wing" podcast that seemed to be useful but he then emphasized, many times, that he could not believe that Representative Tulsi Gabbard was a Democrat "because she makes sense".

At least to me, yes, she does make sense and I have even said to some that she should run for President as she is one of the few Democrats that generally does make sense and isn't dirty. Now, like it or not, the U.S. really doesn't offer much of a chance politically for anyone who both makes sense and affiliates themselves with what is commonly called a "third party". So, your choice is to either run on a ticket that fits your position (e.g., Dr. Jill Stein and the Green Party) or hold your nose and pick one of the two very dirty parties.

Historically I know both Democrats and Republicans who made it to the U.S. Congress and were what I consider honorable. Examples? Sure. Republican Dan Evans who was a great governor of Washington State, got elected to Congress (and decided not to run again -- most likely because of what he saw in Washington DC) and Democratic Representative Don Bonker who ran for the Senate but lost in the primary to, well, an idiot.

In the case of those two people what, to me, made them "different" is that while they were affiliated with a major party, they both showed interest in what was needed and what was fair rather than their own position, or personal gain. If we want politicians like them -- ones who actually represent "us" -- we need to stop dwelling on the "R" or "D" label in front of their name and report what is being done, by whom, in an unbiased fashion.
