Another SUV and Tesla knock-off, how creative!! | On That Bombshell

This week On That Bombshell Byton reveals an SUV at CES 2018, Chevrolet shows a Genovation GXE Corvette and Toyota give us a hint that the Toyota Supra may have a hybrid powertrain with Toyota-Gazoo GR Super Sport.

The Byton Concept is a premium full-electric SUV that the first describes as being “almost production ready. This car utilizes a 469bhp electric powertrain that has 4WD and can do 323-mile range.  Bytons SUV will reach production in 2019 and cost around £33,200 (US $45,000).

Byton is been run by ex BMW I boss Carsten Breitfeld who has plans of producing a Saloon and MPV which will have the same as the SUV. The chassis of This car is designed with 5G mobile data in mind connection, with speeds of up to 10 gigabytes per second.

I would expect this car to come from someone such as Carsten Breitfeld, someone from BMW I division. It's an SUV and Tesla knock-off. Even though Tesla isn't perfect in any way but Elon Musks brand is built upon charisma. Byton has nothing on Tesla!! 

The reason Byton is building their car in China is that people are cheaper to employ compared developed countries and it's an expanding market for cars. 

My problem with this car is it's too generic. It is trying to capitalise on electric cars and SUV BOOM. If this car had something different such as smaller size, passion or something to entice customers such as Kia with a seven-year warranty I might care about this car but I don't.

Byton this is a Genovation. I welcome you to the Genovation GXE Corvette. A $750k, 800BHp electric hypercar which is built for speed records not economy. This car started life out as a C6 chassis for Genovation, a Maryland tuner.

This car can reach a top speed of 220MPH aided by a 61kW 800BHP engine that will do a sub-three second 0-60. Interested customers must bring a new (or very gently used) C7 Corvette Grand Sport to Genovation (which recommends a build combination that ensures you don’t pay for optional items that will just be removed).

If I had $750k to spend on cars I would buy a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Dodge SRT Viper and a Lexus LFA. I wouldn't spend $750k on a Corvette. Even though this car is exclusive with 75 units of Genovation GXE Corvette being produced I'm not buying it.

Thank goodness this car is built for breaking speed records not have a million mile range. This car can achieve a millage range of 175 miles. 

No matter what energy you use it will damage the environment. Even if it's "sustainable energy". If you want to save the world use your car whenever in need, re-use products and keep your devices till no point of return. It's not rocket science.

Finally Toyota unveiled the Toyota-Gazoo GR Super Sport at Tokyo Auto Salon 2018. This car was hinting about the future Supra having a hybrid powertrain. 

Toyota used their engine from the TS050 LMP1 car that produces 986BHP from a 2.6 litre V6 engine and two two hybrid motors which develop 493BHP. This cars influence came from their LMP1 car stems from maximising aero efficiency, with the narrow cockpit, flowing surfaces and a large rear-wing.

I would rather this car than the Supra reach production. The reason I want the Toyota-Gazoo GR Super Sport is because it's looks insane, showcase future technology and to give McLaren pure nightmares.

This week On That Bombshell I shred the Byton SUV, I somewhat praise the Genovation GXE Corvette then talk about sensible ways to save the environment and I want Toyota give the Gazoo GR Sport a thumbs up. Thanks for reading and On That Bombshell goodnight.
