Only sixteen months ago someone from work called me “the Wizard”. Everyone in the company soon picked it up and that’s my official title now. That’s not how it really began though. They call me Wizard because when it comes to technology I can do anything in a fraction of the time that anyone expects, I automate processes like a small golem army, and as-if by magic I know what everyone does at every moment. That’s all just a combination of good tools, vast experience, and innate knowledge of database/technology environments. To me what really makes a wizard is vast knowledge of several fields of the arcane, the ability to see relations between fields of study, and being capable of using that knowledge to conjure real results.
When I was a teenager I was fascinated with the mind. I studied hypnosis, mathematics, psychology and Wicca. I was fascinated by the similarities between hypnosis, psychology and Wicca in regards to how they all affected the mind in regards to conscious, subconscious, id and ego. For my first real “magic” I dabbled in weather manipulation summoning clouds using a method of convincing my own subconscious the likelihood of a cloud manifesting in a certain part of the sky could be very small and expressed in percentile like only 2 in 100 chance, but if I “rolled the dice” enough times then it was a certainty that eventually the right number would come up and the cloud would appear. Then convince myself that might as well happen sooner than later. This initially took patience and focus but with each success it became easier and easier.
Next I studied shamanism and NLP (neural linguistic programming). Again one focusing on internal mysticism and the other on cold, calculating science of mind. Both amazingly potent but I must admit the NLP comes easier for me due to my preference towards left-brain thinking.
Then I became distracted with business and years went by delving deep into technology businesses and making money but with no time for the wizardly arts. I did persist with weather manipulation since I had become accustomed to the luxury of preventing rain during vacations and anytime I needed to drive somewhere.
A few years ago I delved back into wizardly research. First I reviewed current technological science regarding artificial intelligence, expected timeline for singularity (when artificial intelligence far exceeds human intelligence - scientist disagree but date is between 2029 and 2045), estimates on time travel technology (arguably 2035), and quantum computing. Nothing for me to really do with these at this time, but good knowledge to have.
Next I stumbled upon Mandela Effects and obsessed over collecting them, analyzing and then evaluating implications. What color is chartreuse? Did the Lion lay with the Lamb or the Wolf?
Next I studied quantum physics. That opened up a whole new world for me. Entanglement, super position, quantum teleportation… all easily considered real magic proven by science and beyond anything most people have ever conceived of. Teleportation of information already exists! Parallel universes or multiple timelines/dimensions is more than a probability, it is a very strong likelihood!
Then the list of interests to study became so much longer. Consciousness, meditation, pineal gland, neuro-feedback, crystals, vortices, vortex math, Platonic solids and sacred geometry. I absorbed and integrated as much information as I could on each of these topics.
We live in an incredible era. In 10 to 18 years technology is going to reach new levels which is most likely beyond what we can imagine. Right now we can purchase for a few hundred dollars equipment which provides neuro-feedback to enhance meditation and train ourselves to enter Theta wave states on-cue. Free software APIs exist to allow analyzing how our own brains work - technology which would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars a mere 10 years ago. New fields of science are emerging like quantum biology.
According to the shamans, ancient civilizations and mystics, we are entering the age of Aquarius and evolving. According to science our DNA is changing. According to a renowned quantum biologist and physicist our human brains can attain a quantum computer state under the correct circumstances. The implications are astounding! If we can attain quantum computing within our brains then the possibilities are limitless.
I’m so ecstatic, I’m turning chartreuse (old not new).
I am that I am. Wizard of technology by day, wizard of transformation at night and weekends.
