I'm pulling all the referral links from my prior two blogs.  Turns out the sites add mining apps to your web browsers that run in the background.  Uninstalling and reinstalling your web browser will NOT remove them, even with Revo Uninstaller.  Do NOT do this without sandboxing in a VM that you don't mind getting compromised.
