How to buy Ripple (XRP) Cryptocurrency with USD

Here is a step by step guide, how to get XRP with a credit/debit card.

1. Open up a Coinbase account. This will allow you to buy one of three coins (BTC/ETH/LTC). Account verification can take a bit of time, so be patient. If you plan on using a bank card Coinbase will deduct a small amount of money to verify your account and add it back later. 

Unfortunately, they require that you have a cell phone, and you will need to make sure you don't change your number and keep it paid up or that can cause future problems. This is used for the 2 Factor Authentication. Don't lose your phone and keep it secure. 

2.  Decide which destination to put your XRP on. Gatehub, Bitfinex, Bittrex, and Poloniex are options to consider. Again account verification can take time and you may even want to pull out your hair. Be patient. The whole process can take days depending on the supporter. 

3. Once you have both accounts verified and a Ripple supported wallet proceed. 

4.  In order to simultaneously convert/transfer Coinbase coins to the wallet you chose. Now you need to set an account on Changelly. You don't need to wait until steps 1-3 to set up this account, you can do it sooner, but it is fast and easy. 

 5. Buy any coin in any amount you wish on Coinbase. Then click on "Accounts." Click on the coin you decided to buy and find the wallet address. 

6. Open the site you chose for your XRP destination (Gatehub, Bitfinex, Bittrex, and Poloniex). Click "Deposit". This will bring up your wallet. 

7. Once you have your XRP (Ripple) wallet open, then open Changelly. Your currency bought on Coinbase will be converted to XRP with the cryptocurrency you originally bought, so click on that currency. 

Tip: Send a slightly less amount than the value of your currency on Coinbase. This will help with currency fluctuation issues to avoid any transactions problems. 

Next, it will show you the transfer rate and how much you will be getting for the exchange. 

Give Changelly your XRP address. ( copy and paste it - CTRL C and then in the box CTRL V) Click "Next". 

8. On Coinbase, go to send. Send the same amount you entered in on Changelly, to their wallet. They are expecting that amount.

Your XRP will now be in your Changelly wallet. That's it.
