I realize the relation between the scripture and picture are not apparent but the purpose is to provoke the question: What does the company Apple have to do with the devil? To get a clear understanding it would be best to look at the history of the Apple logo.
The first Apple logo was designed in 1976 by Ronald Wayne, sometimes referred to as the third co-founder of Apple. It depicted Isaac Newton sitting under the apple tree. Steve Jobs is famous for saying: 'Three apples changed the world: one that Eve ate, the second one that fell on Isaac Newton's head and the third one that Steve Jobs built.' By his own words his vision was to be as great a change on society as Isaac Newton. Why he would include Eve I hope will become clearer by the end of this.
In1977 the logo was changed to the symbol we all know today. The one exception is that the first Apple had 6 horizontal multicolored bars stacked within the image. The creator Rob Janoff has said that there was no rhyme or reason behind the placement of the colors themselves, noting that he wanted to have green at the top “because that’s where the leaf was.”
Where the bite in the apple comes from is a simple tale. The story goes that Steve Jobs was presented with two apples, one with and one without the bite mark, and so he decided to go with the bite-marked apple because he thought the regular apple looked too much like a “cherry.” Now how consumers would think the symbol for Apple would be a cherry is beyond me but who is to say? To me a cherry is more rounded on the bottom.
Some would say that the bite is a tribute to Alvin Turing who is widely considered to be the father of computer science and artificial intelligence though there really is no reason to believe that. The multi-colored bars were replaced with a monochrome styling which was far more contemporary and inexpensive. Of everything said about the Apple logo by far the most interesting was a comment made by Jean-Louis Gassée, former Apple executive and founder of BeOS:
"One of the deep mysteries to me is our logo, the symbol of lust and knowledge, bitten into, all crossed with the colors of the rainbow in the wrong order. You couldn’t dream a more appropriate logo: lust, knowledge, hope and anarchy."
One thing is certain, Apple premiered with the Apple I in 1976 which sold for $666.66 before being replaced by the much more practical and user-friendly Apple II.
Now to make a long story infinitely longer, I have another tale of another apple centuries ago. In the Greek pantheon, there is a deity named Eris and she is the goddess of discord. Eris (which means strife) is most famous for inscribing a golden apple with the phrase "to the fairest" (ΚΑΛΛΙΣΤΗΙ). She then tossed the prize during the festivities at the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, thus sparking a vanity-fueled dispute between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite that eventually led to the Trojan War.
The ancient Greek ΚΑΛΛΙΣΤΗΙ translated "for the fairest" or "most beautiful" is a feminine phrase as made evident by who was fighting over it. It could easily be translated "most beautiful woman" and of course would be a trophy for the goddess who possessed it. Now if someone were to take a bite out of the Apple of Discord (that's what they call it) from the same side as the Apple logo you would eliminate the last two characters written on the apple. This would of course destroy the meaning of the word entirely, or would it?
After removing the last two characters of the ancient Greek "kallisti" we are left with ΚΑΛΛΙΣΤ or "kalist". Kalist is an ancient male derivation of the same word. This of course changes the phrase from "most beautiful woman" to "most beautiful man". Now until Jesus Christ returns the most beautiful man who's spirit moves on this Earth is none other than satan himself. The Bible says of the devil:
"Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee." Ezekiel 28:17
Hopefully by now you have realized that this conspiracy theory is just the fiction of a writer's mind. Even still, the apple has more than one mythos based on it and I would suggest that it is not being used coincidentally. Of course, the bite could allude to the garden of Eden where Eve took that fatal taste. It could most definitely be significant of choosing to expand knowledge but that bargain had a heavy price. With Apple enforcing China's one child policy and hiring depression police to keep their slave workers productive it certainly wouldn't surprise me if they were in league with the devil in exchange for influence and power over those in this world.
