So, the government collapsed, and then the Finns party split in two and all of a sudden the government was back together as nothing had ever happened. Just that the Finns party was out and the "new alternative" was in - with all the party elites and ministers who were denied the vote of confidence at the  Finns party caucus last Saturday.

Let's hear what the "New Alternative" has to say. Minister of labor Jari Lindström says the supporters of Halla-aho were doing Nazi salutes in the caucus to celebrate their victory. The runner-up for the party leader Sampo Terho implies something of the sort. MP Tiina Elovaara confirmes what Lindström said. They said thats the reason they broke off and that is what the media is pushing too. However there were tens of reporters in the party caucus and none wrote anything of the sort before Tuesday.

The Finnish version of BBC - YLE - promoted this story. They found a picture with a number of people lifting their hands up and they are running with the narrative that this is the Finns party doing nazi salutes. It's the blog banner picture. It does not take a genius to figure out that the claim is utter rubbish. These people are voting at the caucus by raising their hands. It tells a lot about the media that this ever gets published.

There s also another narrative by the "New Alternative". MPs Veli-Matti Saarakkala says they saved the patria by stopping the red-greens from getting into the government. MP Simon Elo explained with tears in his eyes that he has a small son and he has to be able to look him in the eye and therefore he sacrificed his own political carreer in doing this. Give me a break!
