So Rob Dyke made a video about diversifying his content and it brings me an idea of making a video about content diversity in towards channel.
For those of you who are unaware, Rob recently made two videos that are very unusual for his type of content.
These two videos spawned very interesting responses. Some of whom loves it, some of whom hates it. He addressed these responses in another video.
He brings up a very interesting point that diversifying his channel and his content is a way to make himself sane. He is sometimes a little bored of doing the same thing over and over again. He can't let things just be inside his chest all the time. So he diversified the contents and tried something new.
And he did. IMHO they're all great and I encourage him to do this sort of thing.
This brings me to the fact that this sort of thing is going to be inevitable when you're a content creator on YouTube. You're going to face that time in which you're bored of making the content that you used to make and you wanted to try something new.
It happened with PewDiePie.
And it happened with Casey Neinstat.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with people trying to diversify their content and mix things up here and there, but IMHO, there's a time in which you're going to need to ask yourself whether or not you've lost what you really were before.
This is where Angry Joe comes to mind.
I love Angry Joe. I absolutely love him. He's an inspiration for me making YouTube videos and doing my content. Some parts of me were inspired by his antiques and his personality. He has a special place in my history.
However, his content has gone… mediocre for the past couple of years. It cannot be more apparent if you just look at the like and dislike ratio for the past couple of contents at the time of writing.

The thing is he addressed people's criticisms on him in this video and I absolutely appreciate that.
I'm not a part of the people who criticized him though. I watch his content when I find some of his videos interesting. I'm glad that he's listening to criticisms and addressing it.
But then… he did this.
This video basically addresses some of the plans that he's going to do for the year which I find completely insane.
And by insane, I mean overwork insane.

Wow dude. Just… it really makes me concerned of your health and well-being at this state.
There's nothing wrong with Joe diversifying his content. I'm not going to tell him what he should do or what he shouldn't do, but man. That kind of scheduling and content for just a month gives a really huge concern. It's pretty much overwork. I love him, but I want him to be sane and healthy too.
Just to end this, let's just ask the question of whether or not it's important for content creators to diversify their content. Well, I can't give a conclusive answer because it's different for person to person. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.
At least we can agree on a couple of things. Make good content. Put lots of effort into it. And most importantly, stay healthy.
