There are numerous musicians that fans deem untouchable, gods in their melodic pantheon, and Ludwig Van Beethoven is right at the pinnacle of such excellence. His pieces and symphonies stand the test of time as unequivocal masterpieces, showcasing the effortless marriage of talent and creativity poured into the crucible of musical instruments. All art – as music undoubtedly is – can be subject to interpretation and a good cover often breathes an exhilarating gush of air into a beloved classic. 17-year-old You Tuber “Tina S,” does all of the above effortlessly and shows off her epic guitar skills at the same time! Her video of her slaying the beautiful Moonlight Sonata (3rd Movement) garnering almost 4 million hits on YouTube.
They say art imitates life, in the movie, “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” the two eponymous heroes gather historical figures in a time machine to help with their history project. Eventually, the historical figures run amok in a mall, including Beethoven rocking the hell out of a modern keyboard/synthesizer. Tina S shows that modern instruments can deliver a powerful rendition of the composer's tunes, in a way that would even make Beethoven proud.
