Man hit by truck ignored by over 400 people as he lays dying on the side of the road.

A man in Delhi was struck by a truck and left to die, despite being passed by hundreds of people and even a police officer.

As he was lying there, bleeding, 140 cars, 82 rickshaws, 181 bikers, and 45 pedestrians passed him by.

Eventually, a rickshaw driver does stop.  Instead of helping him, he steals his phone.

After thirty minutes, a man finally does stop and call the police for help.  Unfortunately, it took the police 40 minutes to get there and he died on the way to the hospital.

The police have been able to locate the driver of the truck that hit the man.  Since the event, the Indian government has started an incentive program to reward people for bringing accident victims to the hospital.

The victim was known as Matibool and was, himself, a rickshaw driver, father to two sons and two daughters.
