Why I am Disappointed in Final Fantasy XV.

I have been a big fan of Final Fantasy since i first layed eyes on Final Fantasy VII, it changed how I viewed video games and got me through a really tough period in my life. A big part of why I love the Final Fantasy franchise is due to the amazing Turn Based and Active Time Based battle system  gameplay of the franchise. If I wanted to play an action game, I would play one of the many Final Fantasy spin off titles or another game made or published by Square Enix entirely, like Star Ocean and Deus Ex. To me Final Fantasy XV is a betrayel to the existing fan base and exist solely to appeal to people who have little interest in the franchise at all.  To me it feels like they are ashamed of their roots that they are burning the franchise to the ground to build anew but call it a sequel for marketing reasons. Hell even the Final Fantasy VII "Remake" is going to be an action game and not an evolution of the Active Time Based Battle System present in the original release, which would ruin certain plot points, as portions of the story was written to complement the gameplay. When I play a sequel to any video game, it doesn't matter what, I expect an improved gameplay of the first game in the franchise, outhterwise why make a sequel to a game if it isn't going to have the most important aspect of any video game, the gameplay. When Final Fantasy XV was first announced ten years ago as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, I was genuinly excited for the more action oriented focus of the game, and if Square Enix truly wanted to rebrand the game in order to distance it from the critically panned Final Fantasy XIII sub franchise, they should have rebranded Final Fantasy Versus XIII something else entirely. I recommend Final Fantasy: All American Boy Band Road Trip or some title with a road tripy vibe at least.
