An employee at a  Layton, Utah Subway restaurant is in serious trouble after allegedly dosing a cop's drink with methamphetamine and THC.

It began when a local seargent with the Layton Police Department stopped by the drive through to get some lunch.  18-year-old Tanis Lloyd Ukena was working the order and genially handed the officer his food and beverage.

As soon as the seargent took off, he began drinking and noticed something didn't taste right; though, by that time, the drugs were already kicking in.  He noticed, at a stop light, that he had a hard time getting his foot to move over to the brake pedal.

“The (sergeant) began feeling the effects of being drugged,” the report reads. “While approaching an intersection that had a red light, he had difficulty getting his foot to move to the brake pedal. (He) drove to the Layton Police Department, where he was observed to have signs of impairment. He was unable to process information and drifted off, and was unable to focus on questions being asked of him.”

The cops put 2 and 2 together and realized what was going on.  They went back to the Subway and got the security footage, which showed Ukena exiting, coming back and standing over the drink for an excessively long time.  At this point, they questioned Ukena who denied everything.

Unfortunately for him, the drink was being analyzed at a lab where levels of Meth and THC were found.

Ukena was arrested and charged with suspicion of felony surreptitious administration of a poisonous substance, though he continues to deny the accusations from his cell at Davis County jail.
