Former NASA engineer, Mark Rober, has been revealing food hacks via his YouTube channel and one of his most recent has caught the attention of the internet for it's smoothness. By pulling a few sneaky tricks, he was able to make it seem like he skinned a watermelon.
First, he starts with two watermelons of similar shapes and sizes:

He then made a bunch of shallow cuts in one watermelon until there was no green rind left:
Next, he trimmed off all the edges to make it look a little more uniform:
In order to make it look absolutely perfect, he got a scour pad and scrubbed it as if it was sandpaper to wipe off all the edges.
Finally, he gutted the second watermelon to make the fake case:
He slid the fruit inside the new rind and was ready to go:
It's not the first time Rober hacked a watermelon for the good of humanity. Last September, he created a watermelon smoothie recipe using a coat hanger, screw driver, plastic cup and watermelon. The video has been viewed more than 5.5 million times.
