In 2013, the world passed a milestone at an accelerating pace; we began adding more renewable, clean energy sources than fossil fuel ones.  The price of solar power continues to plumet, as we keep developing better and better solar panels and wind power continues to become significantly cheaper and safer with different designs.

People realized that leaving their fuel in the hands of a few is not wise and that generating your power at home is ideal.

According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance, over the next 15 years the desparity between new carbon burning plants and clean energy plants will continue to expand

3D printing solar panels is already widely adopted and could become cheaper than the cost of a candle and matches.  Though we have made a sloppy mess of the earth in so many ways, we have also figured out how to live in harmony with our solar system, collecting electricity from sunlight.  Cleaning our planet is of utmost importance and losing access to our power is not an option.
