This $1.75 million house in the Adirondaks was built on top of a cold-war missile silo and has full access to the bunker that lies beneath. It's a 2,000 square foot run of the mill hosue with an airplane and runway.
Then you go downstairs, entering the password into the keypad.
You'll enter into a new 2,300 square foot area of the house, a former launch center that is converted into a living and dining area. It's got its own air supply and is fully soundproofed, with 10 foot ceilings. There are also two bedroom suites with marble bathrooms.
Then, there is the tunnel to the missile silo.
Currently, the 9 stories of missile silo is unused, but could be converted into a multitude of things. (Apartments?)
Paranoid, or purely awesome? If you've ever actually wanted your own house, bunker and missile silo, this is it. It's also a super contingency plan for any zombie apocalypse.
Here it is again, upstairs
