Joe Rogan has leveraged his success as mixed martial arts fighter and host of Fear Factor to become an increasingly vocal social and political activist. Topics that he often touches on range from recreational marijuana use to government corruption. The focus of the attached YouTube video/audio recording is geared towards processed foods, a sedentary lifestyle, and how the body reacts.
Rogan is a physical specimen who promotes organic, natural sources of vitamins and minerals. He begins the video by introducing the concept of exercise as a critical element of the body's cycle; we put food in our body and we must exert energy in order to properly process the fuel. Sedentary lifestyles gorge the body with food without doing anything to burn it off. No wonder fat people are fat.
The quality of fuel that we put in our body is the underlying talking point of the podcast. Rogan uses milk as an example of a food that can be of high, organic quality or of poorly-produced, toxic, "dead" milk. Human bodies are not equipped to properly digest poor quality milk so they will respond with negative side effects like gas, stomach aches, and indigestion. Far better an option would be to only consume organic milk where the production process has been controlled and done properly so as to keep the milk as natural to what would be found in nature. This is the essence of what Rogan discusses- if it's not found in nature, it's not good for you. He also uses the example of eating a peach for natural sugars instead of corn syrup. Pretty straightforward stuff.
At the core of the issue is lifestyle choice and awareness. Those of us who commit to a healthier diet rich in organics and exercise are far better off. Take a look at Joe Rogan, he practices what he preaches.
