Baxxy Snooze, Baxxy Loose
Mascott's Hunt
Mascott has been spotted. We repeat, Mascott has been spotted.
Our New Security Guard
Say hello to Ribbon, our new security guard. She will be tasked with retrieving Mascott.
Mascott is lost
Mascott has now found herself in the middle of nowhere. She better move quick though. Otherwise she may find out who laid that egg...
Ribbon Is On Her Way...
After what was a much longer preparation than expected, slightly prolonged by Wreath, Ribbon has set out to capture and bring Mascott back. We don't know how long it'll take for her to find Mascott, But Ribbon has promised to be back at the base before the beginning of October at the latest.
Mascott is no laughing matter though, and for Ribbon to stand a chance, she's gonna need all the prayers she can get.
A Challenger Swoops Down
Mascott is ready for whatever this Harpy brings.
Are you?
Harpy VS Shapeshifter
And so the fight begins.
Shapeshifter Swings The Bird Around
Mayhaps our harpy didn't fully anticipate just what her opponent would be capable of...
Harpy Hits Back
While victim to the Shapeshifter's brutal onslaught, our Harpy gets in her first hit of the match. Her Hair may be frizzed, but her resolve is unshaken.
A Cratering Kick
The Harpy here doesn't seem to be playing around.
Mascott Booms Back
It appears Mascott is not one to be outdone.
Fastest Caw in The West
Even after that devastating hit from Mascott, the Harpy has not given up and unleashes a mighty Caw in attempt to bring Mascott down. All the while keeping an eye on that egg.
Mascott is Illegally Blind Without her Glasses.
Even after such a mighty Caw, Mascott appears to be unscathed. Furthermore, Mascott decides that she will be wearing her glasses for the rest of the match.
Ribbon Talks With Busy Bee Brian
In her pursuit of Mascott, Ribbon talks with local hive legend Busy Bee Brian. Brian recalls his encounter with the shapeshifter but ultimately, it's the massive blast of energy in the background that really gives Ribbon a clue as to the whereabouts of the troublesome shapeshifter.
Make sure you wish Ribbon luck... She'll need it.
SECOND WIND!!!
Not being one to give up so easily, the Harpy leaps back into the fray with her Second wind. Unfortunately for her, Mascott can see now.
Mascott Seeks Combat First, Food Second.
The harpy is pinned in no time flat, and it seems that unless she comes up with something quick, she'll joining the dead as well.
SURRENDER?!
Our Harpy friend makes a bizarre move... And Mascott humors it.
Egg?
Mascott asking the real questions here.
Shapeshifter Calls BS
The Harpy offers the short explanation as to the creation of her egg. Mascott casts some doubt.
Another Challenger Approaches...
While our harpy friend says something generally unimportant, Mascott senses a new opponent the horizon...
Follow The Arrows
Ribbon's pursuit of Mascott has brought her to the site of that giant explosion. However, all that seems to be there is a path to somewhere else...
Squint
After some more time later, Ribbon has finally reached the end of that path. Only to find...
It leads right next to where she just was...
Grammer Nazi
Having now put her hair back in order, the Harpy is curious as too why this area was the one to go to. She doesn't get a proper answer however due to bad grammar, and the arrival of a certain, somewhat annoyed, shark priestess...
Ribbon Confronts Mascott
Having finally reached Mascott, Ribbon unloads her prepared speech.
And issues her threat to the shapeshifter... Which is gleefully received.
Unyielding Presence
Ribbon is ready... Or so she thinks.
But gazing upon Mascott's aura, her unyielding presence, Ribbon's faith is shaken to it's core...
Damn Aura Sense
Ribbon, having just seen her opponant's aura for the first time is trembling with fear.
Mascott however wanted a fight, not a coward. So, after some thought, Mascott figures it's too late to back out now.
Snapped Back To Her Senses
Mascott leaps into action, ready to tear the cowardly Ribbon into pieces. However, it seems an immediate sense of danger was all that was needed to snap Ribbon back to her senses.
Shark Priestess VS Shapeshifter
Ribbon stands her ground, vowing never to succumb to fear.
Let's see if Mascott can change her mind...
Lunatic Lariat
Mascott makes the first move of the battle, that being to launch Ribbon into the forest.
Punch Here
Ribbon leaps back into action, wasting little time. Mascott, interested in seeing what Ribbon can do, outlines a proper target for her.
Got Your Face
After a punch to the face, Ribbon is cutoff from a further combo by Mascott grabbing her face.
Tossback Attack
Mascott, taking advantage of the opportunity, throws Ribbon into the ground and leaps into the air, preparing a brutal strike down to the face.
Soaring Jump
After blocking Mascott's punch with her staff, Ribbon counters, sending Mascott into the sky. Ribbon jumps after her, gearing up a massive attack of her own.
Bird Bystander
While the clash is heating up, the BOOM of Ribbon's attack sends a shockwave hurtling into the vicinity. It seems the Harpy is having some regrets as far as 'New friend' choices go before the whispers of an unusually large bee catch her attention...
Cracking Combo
Moving back to the battle, it seems Mascott has the upper hand, leading into a downward spike which cracks the ground. She adds further insult to injury with her next attack, a kick, aimed right at Ribbon's butt.
Omelette Averted, Egg Returned
The kick lands, sending Ribbon once again towards the forest, except this time she hits one of the outer trees, stopping her from rocketing further inward. However, on the tree was something important, the Harpy's egg. Thinking quickly, Ribbon jumps to it's rescue, and gracefully returns the egg back to it's owner.
Ribbon however warns her to get out of the field and somewhere safe. Things could start escalating quickly.
Staff Standards
Making fun of Ribbon's staff, Mascott unveils her much cooler looking staff.
KACHUNK!
No More Infield Spectators
Give it everything you got Ribbon.
Harpy in The Hive
As the clash between Sharkwoman and Shapeshifter heats up, we see that our harpy friend has been relocated inside the hive of Busy Bee Brian and his Family.
Her Highness is Cautious
After a particularly nasty thud, Brian's Mother (along with two more of her sons) comes to the surface to unveil a window they had installed just a couple days prior.
Perfect for keeping her eyes on any threat to her children.
Hope For an Unseen Trick
As the battle rages on, it unfortunately isn't looking good for our shark heroine. And while Brian may want to help his new friend, it's clear that Ribbon is the only one who stands a chance at taking Mascott down.
Fraud Root
A small pause in the battle leads to Mascott asking Ribbon, first, a rhetorical question, and then inquires why, in spite of her fear, she's been holding back. Ribbon responds in strangled breath that she's preserving her strength for Madame Baxxy's Rescue. Mascott assures her that, unlike Ribbon's current situation, Baxxy has nothing to worry about.
As Mascott soars into the sky on her stretchy long leg, she asks Ribbon yet another rhetorical question about the flora of this forest. Ribbon, correctly identifying that it's Fraud Root, is then chucked into the maw of the ravine.
Simply put, if she doesn't use more of her power, she will be dissolved and digested by the Fraud Root's 'stomach' acid.
Shark Force, Activate!
As Ribbon is plummeting down the ravine toward the Fraud Root's digestive acid, she is left no other choice but to use one of her special techniques, Thresher Whip.
Thresher Whip hits hard and thankfully the recoil propels Ribbon upwards, narrowly avoiding most of the splashed digestive droplets.
She runs up the ravine's wall, taking out roots only when in her way, and finally arrives to face a mildly pleased Mascott.
Little Miss Rigid
It's Called Honesty, Stupid
Trashy Whip
Mascott continues to taunt and interrupt our sharkwoman, trying to incite and stir her up so she'd let loose. However, it seems little miss Rigid is a stubborn one. Meaning that Mascott will have to keep forcing her to use more power until she receives what she wants.
Whistling Blades
Mascott dives in, swinging her blades around with great precision, managing to trim Ribbon's hair a little, and after Ribbon clumsily forced her fall to avoid the blades, Mascott uses the blades to grab Ribbon's leg, yanking her over to for a direct brutal attack to the chest.
At least, that's what it apeared to be to Ribbon. However, imagine her surprise when she find the attack only grazed her shoulder, not even leaving a scar. What is Mascott up to?
Object of Hope?
Ribbon realizes a second too late that Mascott wasn't aiming to kill, but steal her backpack.
As Mascott tosses aside the various contents, her hands come to touch a peculiar orb. Ribbon quickly rushes in to take the orb back, slashing at Mascott who humorously dodges before the attack can connect.
Ribbon quickly activates Tiger Shark Armor Shredder, an ability which enhances all of her strikes with a serrated edge, while placing the orb in-between her chest.
But it seems Mascott is getting what she wants, Ribbon's hand has been forced yet again.
Sweet Sweet Nostalgia
Mascott is pleased that Ribbon's finally taking the hint. After morphing her own arm into a bladesaw, it seems the two are prepared to clash and slash. Let the cutting duel begin.
Mutual Slashes
Ribbon and Mascott exchange slashes, Ribbon's outfit continues to be harmed, and Mascott takes a scratch across the face, the first noticeable damage that Ribbon has given her. However, Mascott uses her bladesaw to bat Ribbon away.
Ribbon quickly regains her footing and charges back in for a proper attack.
Satisfying Shing
An o so classic sword duel finisher. Seeing Mascott being so scratched, I wonder how she wounded Ribbon.
New Haircut
After the thrilling clash of serrated weapons, We come to learn that Mascott gave Ribbon a new hairline. The now bald Ribbon is dumbfounded at how Mascott managed to cut her hair and avoid the hood completely with the giant bladesaw.
Mascott calls it precision, casually shapeshifting the scratches away, and Ribbon's stomach drops after hearing Mascott offer a proper demonstration.
Precision, Activate!
Mascott charges in, and after just 6 clean slashes, and a subtle boob nudge, it looks as though her demonstration is through. Ribbon is glad to see she's still alive and not hurt at all. However, if so, then what was Mascott's actual attack?
New Outfit
Ribbon finds herself in an embarrassing position when she sees that Mascott cut her outfit to pieces, leaving only her underwear and actual body intact. Ribbon remains steady however and will not budge from her mission.
However Mascott reveals to her that she now posses that peculiar orb from before, placing it inside her neck. What, will Ribbon do?
Soul Container
Ribbon, in the heat of the moment, loses her cool. Going in for a straight punch, sending Mascott flying.
Moving back from the action, Busy Bee Brian and our Harpy friend ask as to what the orb is. The Queen bee explains that it is a Soul Container. A nifty item designed to specifically capture and contain Shapeshifters. However, now that said orb is in the possession of that beast, The Queen bee now thinks this fight is over.... Or is it?
Underground Adversary
One Last Chance...
Beehive Rallying Cry
Ribbon, a little taken aback by Mascott's display of raw shapeshifting prowess, is kindof at a loss for what, if anything, she can do next. That is until, the local bees and our harpy friend exit the hive to cheer Ribbon on.
The Queen, knowing Ribbon is their only chance of survival, promises to lend as much of their healing gel as needed once the battle is over. Though it's not hard to see that she is a pessimist.
Ribbon VS Mascott
Reinvigorated, Ribbon refuses to back down. Mascott, pleased by this, promises to keep Ribbon's orb safe until she can manage to grab it back. However, Mascott warns Ribbon that going forward, she will no longer try to keep her alive.
From here on, Ribbon will have to watch her step, because the slightest error could result in unhealable injury...
Major Design Flaw
The battle resumes, all when Busy Bee Brian asks an important question, How does the Soul Container work? The Queen responds that the orb part needs to make contact with a colored part of Mascott's body. Busy Bee Brian, after weighing some variable, finds a major design flaw.
Internet Bug
The Queen explains that from what she's read, the flaw has always been there.
She states that older containers could capture the target by touching any part of the body. The Queen further explains the problems with this, and that the newer models got around those problems by reducing the captured target down to there soul whilst inside the soul container. Due to this change, the containers could only capture by touching a colored part of the targets body for that is the closest contact you can make to their actual soul.
And because no one can shapeshift their soul, this dodged the second problem.
Unfortunately, these newer containers are also more fragile so it's a bit of give and take. Our harpy friend asks The Queen how she knows all this, and as it turns out she's an avid watcher of cat videos who researches dumb stuff on the side.
Where To Go
Ribbon, while reinvigorated, is still kindof at a loss for what to do against this roid rage elephant snake man thing that Mascott has become. However, one crucially close call reveals that Mascott's truer form lies somewhere inside the beast's snake body.
Ribbon, having a job to do, charges forward with little hesitation.
Still Holding Back
Ribbon, effortlessly dealing with the oncoming rubble, gets an unexpected visit with Mascott's right fist which, surprisingly, Ribbon bats away. Mascott, pleased that Ribbon has upped her game, is also further frustrated that Ribbon still refuses to use her all.
Toys Are Meant To Be Broken
After noticing that Ribbon, despite the big Elephant Snake transformation, still refuses to go all out, Mascott decides she's had enough. If Ribbon won't play, she'll be broken.
Begone Rocks
Ribbon, having been launched in the air, tries to bat away any rocks that could hit her in the face. Failing to notice the soaring beast right behind her.
Ribbon Gets Clapped
Ribbon is taken by surprise and hit pretty hard by a round of displeased applause.
Strongest Punch Yet
Mascott follows up with another punch, and Ribbon expects to just bat it away like last time. However, she finds this punch is nothing like the last one.
Staff Standards Enforced
Mascott punches clean through Ribbon's staff, sending her careening away into the horizon. The spectators are somewhat surprised it seems.
Her Attention Turns
Mascott, having just punched Ribbon God knows where, turns her attention towards the only living things left around. The Harpy and the Bees.
Our harpy friend, takes one look at the beast and sees the quickly leaving Ribbon is everyone's only hope and with little hesitation, She soars after Ribbon as fast as she can.
Ribbon Rockets Away
Ribbon soars over the various landscapes on the continent, eventually reaching the ocean. Ribbon, realizing she won't make it back at this rate, pleads with Maggus for his aid.
A Fast Flight Back
Surprisingly enough to Ribbon, Our harpy friend soars in to catch her and starts to fly back to the battle, explaining on the way that she owes Ribbon for saving her egg. As such, whatever aid Ribbon may need in battle, Our harpy friend will happily oblige.
Harpy and Shark VS The Elephant Snake
Having just returned to the battlefield, Mascott seems to be approaching the bees. In the brief seconds before the two descend back into the thick of it, they agree to a game plan, and hope that Mascott can't focus on two targets at once.
Bad Distraction
Our Harpy friend soars in to try and distract Mascott. It doesn't work.
Right In The Ear
Ribbon is running towards Mascott and is shut down after a rock launching barrage, trapping her. Our Harpy friend however, soars back in and Ca CAWs right in Mascott's ear. Mascott is distracted for a moment or two, but quickly throws her away.
Ribbon, having jumped her way out of the rock pile, and seeing how harshly the Harpy was dealt with realizes, she's going to have to use a little more strength.
Those Lovely Days
Mascott is delighted at seeing Ribbon's output rising ever closer to it's maximum.
Just one more push, and she may be able to relive the glory days...
Run Ribbon, Run!
Ribbon rushes in, shattering any rocks that are launched her way with ease. As she closes in, our harpy friend activates her Second Wind and starts flying circles around Mascott's Elephant head.
Old Moves, Smacked Hard
Mascott quickly puts a stop to the Harpy's shenanigans. Reminding her that she's got nothing Mascott hasn't seen before. When our Harpy tries to taunt the shapeshifter, Mascott tells the drumstick how wrong she is.
Mascott's snake body rockets up again just like last time, however Ribbon jumps up before she can get launched into the air, hoping to make it to the Soul Container.
Up And Away from Distractions
Mascott's snake body crashes down to the ground and before Ribbon can react, one of the spines on her body extends, catching ribbon, and rocketing up and into the sky...
And a jagged grin comes across Mascott's face...
Busy Bee Brian Back Again
Busy Bee Brian has finally been freed from the heavy egg Our Harpy friend dropped on him, but quickly forgets about that after noticing the elephant in the room.
Unbeatable
Brian and his friends remark at the fractured and broken landscape before them when a harpy's voice cuts through the quiet.
"It's no use." coldly states our harpy friend. Cloaked head to feather in despair.
The giant beast looms over all of them as it eclipses the sky.
A Chance Remains...
Just when all hope is lost, The Queen bee chimes in.
She posits that there may still be a chance, questioning why the beast remains still. Our harpy friend grimmly states that the beast may be toying with Ribbon's corpse. But the Queen suggests that maybe, just maybe...
They've been underestimating Ribbon too...
