I just downloaded the latest COVID data from John Hopkins University:
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/new-cases
These are the countries that currently still have significant numbers of cases - I wanted a snapshot for future reference.
They don't make it easy - it's all dynamic charts and they don't offer a simple "download the entire page" function (or I missed it), so I copied all the charts individually and re-formatted it all. Don't ask 🙄
The one thing that really sticks out like a sore thumb ...
... is January 1st, 2022: how in the world did so many countries manage to synchronize their COVID cases to such a degree?
Sure, it must be the more infectious Omicron variant, which totally gets around all the "vaccine"-induced anti-bodies, but why would that show up like 💥💥💥 on the first day of 2022?
It cannot have been the New Year's celebrations - there's an incubation delay of 3-6 days, maybe even longer, so the numbers would have risen gradually over a longer period of time.
It can't have been Christmas, either, which is not even celebrated - or not widely celebrated - in some of those countries. The delay would have been too long and the incubation period is individually very different.
It's this incredible synchronization that is so weird.
How did they even figure out those numbers? How could they test enough people to produce such huge spikes in so many countries?
The only countries that seem not to have a very marked spike were Greece, Switzerland and the UK. In Germany, there was a marked incrase on Jan 1. It didn't turn into a huge spike, but the infections spread out over a mucher longer period.
In Taiwan, the spike happened, but was shifted by about 3 months.
It doesn't make sense...
