Do you love to read? I love to read a good book. I have been an avid reader since my childhood days. As life went on and my eyes grew more dim, I lost my passion for reading a bit. I either couldn't find the time to get into a book or there really weren't any good science fiction books out there, apart from the classics, until I came upon the Starshatter series.

This series got my reading engines restarted. As I progressed deeper and deeper into Fringe Space and the adventures of Captain Anit'za and his crew I became enamored with the universe and the characters. I can officially say that I'm a Megasteel Fan at this point! Megasteel Fan you ask, what is that? That's like a super fan over 9000 or more simply put, a lover of this new set of Fairy Tales for the current age. Fairy tales help to teach us important life lessons and morals while giving us an entertaining story to enjoy. These tales aren't watered down and are peppered with realistic and often very real stories of humanity. You'll find quotes like this one:

I felt the anguish when reading this, but also the indomitable Terran spirit shone through. The book is filled with great anguish and great humor as well. You'll meet interesting characters like Bob and Awesome.

Anit'za is sure to please as well. Our heroic captain always seems to have a plan in place or is able to come up with a plan to help save the day. Unfortunately, he's not perfect and he sometimes takes a beating and so do his crew. Thankfully they focus on their training, and they have a bond of friendship that is extremely important in their universe just as it is in ours.

Mysteries abound in this large universe filled with strange creatures and alien civilizations. Some civilizations like the Dzenta'rii have been around for many years while others are much younger. Some are faltering and some are thriving. We'll catch a glimpse of the rise of the Terran civilization with the help of their alien brothers, known collectively as Star Blood. Their survival is by no means guaranteed as we have seen mighty civilizations like that of the Myrrans have already fallen. Remnants of which are scattered throughout the universe in the form of weapons and technology that are still being discovered.

I don't want to give away too much about this fascinating book, but I did hope to whet your appetite for an adventure filled romp through the universe as Anit'za, Cat, Awesome and the rest of the crew battle fake martial arts experts, crazed cyborgs and other mysterious creatures that lurk in the recesses of the vast expanse of space.

Check out all the books in this series so you can learn about our heroes and the baddies that are out to enslave or eliminate them and all Terrans.
