Canada's Gun Problem

The Prime Minister of Canada banned what he called  "Assault style weapons" 1500 models and variants were banned. You can no longer buy, sell, or use these weapons. With a two year amnesty with a buy back program similar to that what New Zealand. The problem though is that it isn't enough for the people who are pushing gun control. Some groups want a mandatory buyback. That raises an interesting question what happens if someone doesn't want to give up their right to defend themselves. Will they send people with guns to take away other people's guns. I wonder if something like this has happen in history. Where the government took away all of the weapons and people live in peace and the criminals stopped buying illegal guns. Like 1940's Germany, nothing bad ever happens when you take away the people's right to defend themselves right? 

Sarcasm aside we are heading into a very big problem. If we allow this to continue what will stop them from doing whatever they want. We have already seen the destruction the lockdown has brought us. For them to say we are now going to come for your firearms is quite frankly in my opinion is a sign of Tyranny. They say it is for the safety of the people, but there is an old saying "That the road to hell is paved with good intention" I get that people want to be safe, they think that if they give up the freedom to defend themselves and give that responsibility to the government. The sad reality is that is a fantasy, the saying "When seconds matter police are there in minutes" 

The responsibility for the defense of the individual does not come from the collective but from the individual themselves. 

There is also the point that the bill C-71 makes it so that those who have mental problem aren't allow to own weapons. Everyone has a right to self defense. I do not like the idea that we as a society get to say that certain people aren't allow these human rights just because their brain is wired differently. 

Next is the problem of 3d printers. Which basically makes gun control impossible to do. With advancements in the technology gun can be made with ease with models like the FGC9. A homemade full auto submachine gun that someone can make within a weeks time.

This all lead to my main point. GUN CONTROL DOES NOT WORK!!!

Let's say for example we did ban all guns. (and forget the fact that there are more guns then people in the U.S. these number might even be higher with ghost guns and homemade guns) The government has taken away all of the "Military Style weapons" and only hunting guns are left for the people. What are we to do when an evil person decides that he wants to kill a bunch of people. He buys a gun off the black market (Which will only become more powerful because probation has never worked) He goes and kills a group of people with a more powerful and unregulated weapon. Who's going to stop him? The police you say well what happens if that man is dressed like a police officer. I can hear it already the "That will never happen Mythix you are crazy" well it did happen. In Nova Scotia the event that started this whole plan by the government. People who want to do terrible things to people don't care about the laws, they never have and never will. All this is doing is weakening our society and making us less safe. Which defeats the whole purpose of doing this, if this is supposed to make us safer and it doesn't do that then what is it really for?
