How many of you have been following the murmurings of Chinese troops sitting on both the Canadian and Mexico border of the United States?

Do you just ignore or poke around.

Here are some findings when poking around.  This is meant to be a question and seek!

With these reports of Chinese troops and the obvious question of how could they amass undetected. ..I ask has this happened before?

We have spoken with two (2) local Border Patrol agents who have come into face-to-face contact with Chinese military troops doing maneuvers 15 miles north of the US-Mexican border. This actually puts those troops 15 miles directly south of our home.

These two agents have told us that they have encountered three to four thousand troops numerous times. They stated that they call headquarters who in turn calls a local covert US Marine unit that wanders around the desert along the border in this area.

The Marines meet the Border Patrol agents, talk with the Chinese officers, slap backs and shake hands. Then the Chinese about-face and return south across the border.

As for the Marine unit, there has been no official word that this unit exists. We’ve been told that this Marine unit moves, on a daily basis, around the border area setting up camp in a different location every day. We’ve inquired with Border Patrol, US Customs, the Luna County Sheriff’s Department and the local police. No one will say anything about it.
 

It is an old report so yes the rest is a bit jumbled, but ask yourself, is this feasible?

Now let's look at what we know about Canada,

In an article from ABC News written in March of 2020 titled,

Canada urges US not to put troops at border during pandemic

TORONTO -- Canada said Thursday it told the Trump administration that a proposal to put troops at the U.S.-Canada border amid the coronavirus pandemic was entirely unnecessary and would damage relations between the two longtime allies.

The Wall Street Journal, citing an unidentified U.S. official, later reported that the Trump administration had dropped its consideration of the plan.

> Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his government had been in discussions with the White House seeking to persuade the U.S. not to do it.

"Canada and the United States have the longest un-militarized border in the world and it is very much in both of our interests for it to remain that way," Trudeau said.

Trump said the U.S. has troops at the border but then said he would need to find out about that. He then suggested he would deploy troops along the Canadian border to match what is being done at the Mexican border.

“I guess it's equal justice to a certain extent,” Trump said. “We have a lot of things coming in from Canada, we have trade, some illegal trade, that we don't like.”

According to a U.S. official, the Department of Homeland Security did make a formal request to the Pentagon for military forces to provide additional security along the northern border, between entry points. The official said the request was made a few days ago and the Defense Department had done some initial planning but there was no final decision on whether or not to approve the request.

Now my question is, if you are so concerned about Covid-19, why wouldn't you Want that protection?  What gives?

WARMINGTON: Communist Chinese troops observed military exercises on Canadian soil**

> The Department of National Defence has confirmed China’s People’s Liberation Army was indeed on Canadian soil in February of 2018 for the Canadian Armed Forces winter training exercises.

But DND insists they were there merely as observers.

“We do not train with the PLA,” a DND (Department of National Defence) spokesperson told the Toronto Sun. “However, based on an agreement signed in 2013, there has been the occasional, reciprocal granting of observer-status for non-sensitive activities, including winter survival exercises.”

The Canada-China Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments Agreement came into practice in 2014 when Stephen Harper was still prime minister.

Documents, which were not effectively redacted to cover up classified material, indicate Canadian Armed Forces’ engagements with the “Chinese People’s Liberation Army” in Canada were to include PLA members attending the Canadian Securities Program at CFC (Canadian Forces College) Toronto.

The document states “2 PLA members, typically at the Sr. Col, Col or LCol level” to be confirmed.

There are other similar courses in Kingston mentioned as well but one at this historic college in Toronto stood out since this has been a breeding ground for so many generals on their way up through the ranks.

A different document talks about a “Military Education Commanders Dialogue” involving a “1 star or 2 star level-led delegation” and another “CAF-PLA Defence Coordination Dialogue” involving a “2-star level-led delegation.”

DND has indicated guests who came in for this program are lodged at the “Holiday Inn Yorkdale 3450 Dufferin Street.”

It’s unclear if any guests from China checked in. But it is now clear, and on record, Chinese PLA troops were in CFB Petawawa.

According to the Western Journal,

Canadians might not be as naive as their leaders. A reader poll with the Sun’s article asked, “Should troops from communist China have been invited to observe military operations in Canada?” More than that 97 percent voted “no.”

Because Canada shares more than 5,500 miles of border with the United States, this lapse of military judgment also potentially endangers Americans’ national security.

Tensions have been brewing between Canada and the Chinese Communist Party since December 2018.

This is what happened concerning Meng Wanzhou 

As reported by Reuters,

Meng, 48, was detained at the Vancouver International Airport two years ago by Canadian authorities acting on a U.S. arrest warrant. She faces charges in the United States of bank fraud for allegedly misleading HSBC bank about Huawei’s business dealings in Iran, causing the bank to break U.S. sanctions.

Meng Wanzhou is the chief financial officer of Huawei and the elder daughter of the telecom giant's founder.

She was arrested in Canada last week for allegedly breaking US sanctions on Iran and faces extradition to the US.

China and Huawei insist that she has not broken any laws but she could be jailed for up to 30 years if found guilty.

The fallout from her arrest will surely mean, at the very least, an even more difficult relationship for the handful of US tech giants that have found great fortune in China.

In particular, Apple, the poster child for US tech success, and a company that relied on China for 20% of its revenues this past year.

The Global Times said: "Some Western countries are resorting to political means to resist Huawei's attempts to enter into their markets.

On Tuesday, a Chinese court banned the sale of older iPhone models as part of a long-running patent infringement lawsuit between Apple and Qualcomm. Most legal observers had expected China to reject Qualcomm’s request for an injunction.

But the real success story for Huawei won’t come from smartphones, but the equipment that makes them worth having. Huawei is positioning itself as the vendor of choice for rolling out 5G technology, the next generation of mobile network.

Put simply, if China thinks the US is unfairly hobbling the opportunity for Huawei to be a major player in 5G, it may retaliate and Apple could feel the brunt.

"The last thing tech investors wanted to see was this news about the CFO of Huawei,” Mr Ives said.

"It fuels the flames of further retaliation.”

Apple of course doesn’t just sell products to China, it makes them there. In 2017, Apple estimated that between manufacture, retail, distribution - not to mention those developing for its software - it was responsible for 4.8m jobs in China.

Further, the company has opened research centres that are providing a home in China for the country’s brightest graduates.

"They have relationships with the Chinese government because they’ve been a massive employer,” Mr Ives said, suggesting Beijing might be limited in what action it could take as result.

"By hurting Apple, it would to some extent be almost like burning down your own house."

Apple did not respond to requests for comment.

Toronto Police Constable Victor Kwong told CNN on Monday that two men who dug the tunnel made it for “personal reasons” that were not criminal. CNN asked for more details such as the identities of the men and an explanation of those personal reasons. Kwong declined to provide any further information.

Some took to Twitter with the hashtag #personalreasons to mock the police.

One tweet read: “Police: ‘Why’d you build a fortified, three-storey-tall sniper’s nest?’ Guy in camo facepaint: ‘Personal reasons.’ Police: ‘Cool.’”
