Introducing KOINOS

Hello Minds community, I'm Andrew Levine, the CEO of Koinos Group, creators of the Koinos blockchain and in this post I'd like to catch you all up on the progress we've been making over the last couple of months. 

Koinos Group is made up of the former core development team behind the Steem blockchain and steemit.com, so we are clearly committed to decentralized content platforms like Minds and it is our belief that Koinos will provide decentralized application developers (like those behind minds.com) with even better tools for creating amazing user experiences for people like you.

In this first video I announced the release of our whitepaper and our plans to release a PoW mineable token on Ethereum. Two months later, around 50,000,000 KOIN have been distributed in the totally open and transparent manner which can only be guaranteed through Proof of Work:

In this next video, we announced our rebrand from OpenOrchard to Koinos Group, to better align our corporate brand with the brand of the blockchain:

In the past 30 days we've really ramped up our content creation game starting with this update on the project:

We released the first episode of our company podcast in which I interviewed Koinos Group co-founder and blockchain architect, Michael Vandeberg, about his background and insights into smart contracts through his work on Graphene:

Then we released the second episode of our podcast in which I explained microservice architectures and why we decided to make Koinos the first blockchain in history built on a microservice architecture:

Finally, I also released the first episode of my personal podcast in which I'll have more wide ranging and less formal conversations:

I look forward to keeping the Minds community updated on our progress going forward. There are still many exciting things to come for Koinos which I think will resonate very deeply with this community whose values I believe to be extremely aligned with our own.
