Do you not see the similarities between our economic system and the game of Monopoly?
There's a problem here, there aren't enough game pieces or enough tiles for everyone to play.
Round and round we go. Always a game of acquisition or we sit on the sidelines, or under a bridge depending on who you are.
The success of winning the game inevitably causes losers elsewhere. We may not have to observe the damage and face those that have lost because of our perceived "win" on any direct or immediate capacity but this is the way of the situation. That is the nature of a game.
I was born into this disgusting prison.
(What of freedom?)
Nevermind a game, it's a constant economic War. By default we are pitted against each other; always jockeying for position. (Divided and conquered)
Other facets of winning the game:
Always a popularity contest of placation and conformity is the path of least resistance. Ever present manipulation of perception as a strategy to convince people of our virtuous nature or that we value their sense of identity; all so we can acquire the position that best serves us the most calories for the least cost of resources,.. all to win this economic war.
Origins:
When we were forester gatherers, our populations were dictated by food availability and we fought other species to survive but the fruit was on the trees for us to take, (there was our need and the opportunity to take from our environment).
As time went on and villages emerged, as we became agrarian; when something prevented our harvest, we would go to a neighboring village and kill all the men, take the women and children as well as the land and food.
Today even in the perceivable "civilized" approaches to currency, barter and this economic system; we still take but it is with a different paint job and lack of acknowledgement of the damage we do during the process. (We add shimmery veneers so that we don't have to look at the ugliness and our self-affirming label of "civilized" by deflecting or distracting away from learning of or observing the misery we caused by our actions or lack of actions. We observe the fruit trees of success and fail to see the forest behind them of which are in the state of necrotic decline.)
We fight each other.
Cause and effect and consequences:
The more people that are born, the more that must die. The more that don't die, the more cutthroat the game or War becomes as positions are taken and resources become more scarce,.. the more the forests are turned into unsustainable farmland, strip malls or housing.
Life-forms such as myself are born; then we look around and observe what we are forced to deal with, what our predecessors have left us with and we must acknowledge the giant mess. Then it's on to the juggling of the complexity, make a note of what must be done and the focusing of action on manifesting productive patches for this broken system.
Predecessor problems:
Meanwhile our predecessors stand in our way because if anything changes that would threaten to take away their position of which they are currently benefiting from to win this game/War.
Then of course, my generation is, in a way, forced into conforming just for the sake of social survival. We must concede sacrificing the future or leaving our children with the exact same pain and misery in order to be accepted and endorsed by the predecessors who control all the land, money and political influence.
Invasive species called identity?:
We are like out of control cellular duplication, like an invasive species, a cancerous mass on the biosphere.
A total lack of awareness yielding a giant liability. The refusal to change is the suicidal approach, (from perspective of a species).
Survival of the fittest is intended to be applied to those that are the most adaptable.
Unfortunately, today, adaptability equates to conformity and conformity equates to conservative values that are vested in keeping everything exactly the same; which is totally unrealistic and is not possible. Truly, a dead end. I mean that literally.
Healthy, justifiable and rational hate:
Everything I must do and as busy as that makes me, are all the very last things that I would ever decide to do if I was born in any other time.
I hate business, politics and diplomacy.
I hate having to be fake just to survive socially so I don't usually bother. I wager that it's very unlikely that I'm capable of being fake any longer. I can't pretend to know what I am nor can I respect anyone who does attempt that nonsensical and futile delusion.
I hate money. I hate capitalism.
Even more I hate logical fallacy and cognitive bias which are rampant and are the products of a failure to facilitate quality education to the masses.
People think they're helping?:
Everybody focuses on monetizing and capitalizing on all of the vile side effects of societal failures instead of identifying what will cure the issue and leveraging what little time they have in a unified effort to fix those problems... An economically biased incentive to keep things exactly how they are,.. broken.
I am completely disgusted and full of hate for everything that my predecessors find valuable.
My hate totally justified.
Alchemic psychology:
I transmute my hatred into the motivation to continue to do what must be done. The motivation to patch our socio-economic system in an attempt to free up our time while on the side encouraging or creating education opportunities. I intend to press for an educational paradigm shift of which can only be facilitated by freeing up time.
Busy as I want to be?:
I don't want to be busy at all. I don't want to be going at this "alone".
Many hands make light work and this is a giant job that the majority don't want to help with. Either they argue with me from ignorance or they tell me my ideas are fantastic,.. then tell me to let them know when I've pushed the giant snowball to the top of the hill by myself. Of course, then, they'll jump on the bandwagon. (Eyes roll)
Deriving ethics and morality from science:
My ethics and morality are derived from a clear understanding of what happens to us when we "die" and therefore I cannot be bought or distracted from the goal to manifest a more preferable or functional future.
At the same time, I don't stress out about much of any of this and I have no troubles stating ugly observations because of the hate of which I also have a healthy acknowledgement of.
That same hate allows me to count my possible failure as another form of winning because at least I know that the cancerous mass will eat itself out of house and home and then there won't be any system of which needs to be fixed but rather a massive reduction of complexity of our forms will be achieved. The process of emergence will continue.
