My optimism about the US delegation who traveled to South Africa on behalf of Secretary of state Mike Pompeo for talks, went straight to disappointment. The instruction from President Trump to Mike Pompeo to investigate the “expropriation of property without compensation” as well as “the mass scale killing of white farmers” seems to have turned in to a warm, fuzzy, diplomatic visit or holiday by the US delegates.
US deputy secretary of state John Sullivan, at his press brief was full of phrases like transparency, misinformation in America, land reform proses, complexity of the issue, it needs to happen without an impact to the agriculture sector and economic-assurances that property rights of investors will be respected.
So just a little bit about the organizations they met with. The South African government was obviously involved and further more government subsidized non-profit organizations, AgriSA and Grain SA. These organizations directly as well as indirectly benefit from State funding as well as close ties with the Land bank who received quite a sum of money for rural development this year. They also have key sponsorship's and partnership with Corporate's who are puppets to the governments racist policies and openly endorses and enforces programs like affirmative action, employment equity and broad based black economic empowerment. Guess you don’t know what all that means. It’s the wording used by the South African government to discriminate against people because of the color of their skin and their ethnicity. The wording makes it sound so fare and just, when in actual fact its just racist policies against white people.
So basically this was a waste of American taxpayers dollars. The previous statement from the White-house after Trumps tweet, was so politically correct and full of bull wash I don’t understand why I expected more from this trip. In short guys and girls, John Suvilian recons there’s nothing to see here. No intention to meet with any of the organizations that actually started lobbying and made this visible to the world. One meeting with Afriforum and one of the racist black political parties like the EFF or the BLF would have painted a picture worth a thousand words.
