A "Karma reputation system"(KRS) is a very important social feature.

@F1sslesquid has said this in his blog "@ChrisandAmber have stirred up a shit storm on this site ... I have listened to his view point and his ideas he isnt talking out his ass he has done his research he makes good points and is really on to something good ....hear him out before you judge him, this is bigger than him and you and me this is the kind of thing that affects us all .......give liberty and freedom a chance !!", And i agree with this absolutely.

But where i disagree with is using a KRS for curtailing someones freedoms on the social network, like some shitty socials out there do; So what i suggest is this simple but effective way to get the job done:

1) Have a "testimonial" feature for the KRS; Orkut social had this more than a decade ago, with this feature people could write about the person based on their personal experience with him or her.

2) So now that we are in 2018, Lets improve the above "Testimonial" feature a few steps further to make a KRS. i.e. instead of using it to curtail the persons freedom on the social we let people decide which "Testimonial" they agree with most.

3) There will be a list of Testimonials section associated with every channel/person which can be clicked and that opens up a groups like or reddit like interface (like in the above pics) to see what people are saying about them, sorted by top voted testimonials, there should be no down votes for this.

4) the Advantage of "No down votes" is that evil people wont be able to down vote inundate and suppress testimonials of others who have good experiences  with the person.
