Here are a few crypto related apps for Android users. The following six apps are all available for free to download and use and aside from the two faucet apps do not contain ads.
1) Coinbase- Perhaps one of the most well known and trusted digital wallets out there, Coinbase supports wallets for the top ranked cryptocurrencies (I think eight now at the time of me doing this post) in addition to your native currency wallet. Coinbase is a custodial digital wallet service, meaning services to safeguard private encryption keys are provided on your behalf as a customer. The mobile app provides a variety of options besides the trading/selling part such as coin alerts, homescreen widgets to quickly glance at your balance and keep up with the present market value of your investment, and a pin code to lock the app and prevent unauthorized access. 2) Samourai- Not comfortable with the idea of a custodial based wallet, no problem. Samourai is a non-custodial wallet that gives a user complete control over their digital funds. The app is well conceived with security in mind, and has a nice looking and easy to navigate user interface. Supposedly this app has been unreleased, but I saw it on Aptoide and other apk sharing sites probably have it as well.
3) Hodler- There are alot of crypto portfolio apps available on Google PlayStore and I personally have experimented with about forty different ones, and while there were some close contenders I settled on Hodler. The app is still in active development, but the features already in place are impressive. Most portfolio needs are met here, price alerts/favorites/ICO's/news from a variety of sources. One thing that is missing that hopefully will be implemented in a future update would be there is no homescreen widget(s). All features are free to use and there is no advertising.
4) Crypto Markets- From the developers of the popular Teletrader app (Stock Markets), this one is by far the best watchlist and news app to keep up to date in the crypto world. There is even a currency converter, and the homescreen widget is extremely useful. A good sidekick to any portfolio app you may use.
5) Free Bitcoin Spinner- This is one of the highest rated and most trustworthy faucet apps available on the PlayStore, and any funds you earned and cashed out are almost immediately sent to your wallet address. You are able to withdraw any funds earned every three days no matter the amount, and the developers have it set up like that to curb spamming, and you must have an account with Coinbase in order to transfer funds. In addition to letting the app recharge on its own (the amount of time in between you can use the app again), there are options to watch video ads or do surveys in exchange for energy units. The app has a simplistic user interface and does not consume loads of data if you don't watch alot of videos. Here is my referral code- https://coinspinner.me/c/L95P0E
6) Storm Play- Another good faucet app that offers side tasks like trying out other apps and surveys in exchange for crypto tokens. This app consumes more data though, and tech support has been known to be delayed in resolving issues with the app, but it does pay out though.
Hope this post was helpful to any fellow Android fanatics out there who are also crypto investors. If anyone has any other good mentions in mind, feel free to share them in the comments. Cheers all.
