A strategy for dissidents.

What do you do when you don’t have the artillery nor the men to assault a well defended and well supplied enemy line while at the same time fearing that yours is rapidly being stretched too thin?

The analogy should be clear: the dissident (conservatives, MAGA, disaffected liberals, far-righters, gender critical feminists, libertarians and others) have been shadowbanned, removed and are slowly being driven out of the public discourse by the hostile Big-Tech humus. We are quickly approaching the day when carrier pidgeon companies will decide, in unison, that they don't want to do business with conservatives after all.

You want to express a heterodox thought on Twitter?

You can't, go make your own Social Media.

You want to make your own Social Media site?

You can't, go make your own server farm (Parler).

You want to create your own server farm?

You can't, go make your own payment processing infrastructure (Gab).

and on and on recursively.

A movement that is completely ostracized from the whole economy is one that breeds vitriol, poison and ultimately violence and we can't have that. We could move to create a parallel economy or we could put our chips towards more tolerant, alt-tech, infrastructures: Duckduckgo, Minds, Protonmail, etc. must succeed!

This means retreating a bit into our territory and fortifying on a more easily defensible line, instead of a continuous suicidal assault through barbed wire, mine fields and machine gun fire, we don't have the artillery for that. Here's my two cents:

1. We must abandon the mainstream social media sites like Twitter or Facebook en masse (maybe not Youtube as there's still no viable and reliable alternative), especially the creators and commentators! While counter intuitive this is, in my opinion, necessary to starve both your audience and your opponents of your content, forcing them to move with you: a Twitter where every tweet is woke claptrap or celebrity virtue signaling is a boring Twitter. You might take a hit in terms of views but you will secure your audience and will be safer from cancellation.

2. DO NOT make your entire online presence about politics on social media sites! this is why sites like Gab and Parler cannot be successful: every other tweet is about Trump, or some Qanon insanity, that's not a fun social media. We must create an environment that is more appealing than Twitter, this means jokes, memes, music, art, cute puppies: BE FUN!... I suggest Minds.com (that's why I'm here).

3. FREE ADVERTISING: Content creators must help alt-tech be more widespread by advertising them for free (in their podcasts or videos). Contact the people at Minds, or Brave or Duckduckgo (or whatever) to receive promotion material from them. Even a simple shout-out will help.

We must make ourselves uncancellable and our movements and ideas more resistant to big-tech intolerance, or face rapid extinction or a quick descent into violence and, consequently, a permanent placement in the "fringe" pidgeon-hole.
