Nara Dreamland was an amusement park created by a Japanese businessman who had been inspired by Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It opened in 1961 and closed in 2006, so it operated for 45 years and was demolished in 2016.

This would have made a perfect setting for a post-apocalyptic movie.

It's really amazing to see at what speed nature takes over. It also illustrates how utterly ridiculous it is to worry about "the planet" and "nature". Whatever is not maintained will decay very fast. Even what human beings consider as extremely dangerous, such as the reactor core in Chernobyl, is taken over by nature - if you didn't know, here's a Stanford article explaining the nature of Radiothropic Fungi which developed in the very heart of the Chernobyl reactor, using gamma rays for food:

Never worry about "nature". Evolution is extremely effective and allows living beings to adapt to the most unbelievable conditions. Worry only about how human beings can maintain their living space.
